So was watching the 90′s Sonic OVA and saw the old man Owl in SOnic’s “Favorite Clothes”. Considering we never see sonic dressed in ANYTHING, I had to see what it would be like…
Yup, was made in the 90's after Sonic and Knuckles came out. It suffered in localization though as a lot of anime did in that the Stateside folks didn't see it as worth it so it didn't get good treatment. Some of the VA's weren't great and for some reason, some of the Sonic community hate it more than '06.
I love it though. It was made before Sonic had a real story and had a lot of leeway, which ended up with a really cool world design, in my opinion. Eggman had a very fitting VA and plan he had was actually rather devious. In addition, it had a Metal Robotnik that would make a really cool boss, I wish the OVA had gotten a game.
