made a map of a main continent in present day times, on a planet named Kapernia.

Mainland Kapernia (3/4/2018 update) by cprime
+2

Cprime made an offer to name cities, capitols and provinces on the map...I myself named the province of Saint Jaspersen, Saint Jaspersen City and Shendonville.

Saint Jaspersen Province had stayed with the old style embossed tags...which by the way are still stamped out in a provincial correctional facility.

I like the slogan that you chose for the license plates there.

Also, just a little bit of FYI, Kapernia is the name of the planet that most of my stories take place in.  The map shown here is of the Kapernian Mainland...the place where Cylians landed many years ago and began to colonize the area (see "New Cylia Province")

I noticed New Cylia, just west of Saint Jaspersen.

These Cylians, what are they like.
And I take it there are also anthro-animals as we know them in the fandom on Kapernia as well.

One thing that dawned on me...It being a different planet, I'm thinking the months and years might run different from what I have depicted on the tags...which I guess is not a really big detail.

Because there are Earth-born humans on Kapernia and since both planets have similar day and year lengths, Kapernia adopted the Earth calendar a while back.  Some places on Kapernia (mainly tribal communities) still operate under the old Kapernian calendar, which is based on the orbit of Kapernia's closest moon (Aquaticus).

I copied the document to my downloads and will read it tonight.

So I see in your recent comment that there are ties, or links, between Earth and Kapernia...which came to mind about the Chrysler and Toyota J-70 imports I mentioned in the PM about the Saint Jaspersen Provincial Police car fleet...I had even thought of drawing a couple of late Plymouths from years 1957 and 1959 they used in that time era (like the one depicted in the movie, Kristine) until they started using different cars in the following years.

I thought of something funny about the Idea I mentioned of the Saint Jaspersen Police using Plymouth automobiles imported from Planet Earth for patrol cars during the late 1950s (4 door, Savoy series, interceptor version).

It's a sure bet that in the years from 1957 to 1961, the folks at Chrysler Corporation (makers of Plymouth) experienced the same extraterrestrial encounters from representatives of Saint Jaspersen Province as they did from Martin the Martian in this 1959 Plymouth salesmen training film;

By the 1950's space travel between Earth and Kapernia was common.  This was when the first spaceports were being built on Earth.  Perhaps in the future I'll explain more about how Kapernians went to Earth and made contact with the human race.

So thus, the folks at Chrysler Corporation were not in the least startled to encounter visitors from Kapernia inquiring about Plymouth interceptor automobiles for the Saint Jaspersen Police Department.

Chrysler reps would always cut them a good deal, and were happy to do business with them.

I guess what attracted the Saint Jaspersen Provincial Police to using Plymouths in the late 1950s was that they were impressed with how well they handled and performed, as shown in these comparison tests done with Chryslers;

Plus they liked that "space age" look those cars had for that day and time...And they were more car for the money compared to the competitors models.

A side note on the last comment; 1961 was the last year they used Plymouths because from 1962 through 1964 all Plymouth and Dodge cars were compact to mid size.
During that time era, Saint Jaspersen wanted full size cars in their police fleet, and they didn't want to purchase the higher price Chryslers...By the time it was 1965, they were already using other models including domestically made Kapernian made cars.

Very nice work, simple yet its clear a good deal of effort was put in,

Are there any stories of yours that explore this province?

The land where Saint Jaspersen Province is belongs to

. However, I did put a few short scenarios about the province in comment sections.
A while back, Cprime offered to let various artists name various provinces and cities, so I names Saint Jaspersen Province and two cities.
The auto tags were done as a gift for Cprime.
