Finally drew Jeanette Scinamal, Gene's daughter. I think the reason it took me so long to draw her again was I didn't really feel like there was enough to distinguish her from her mother, which killed my motivation (despite her being a pretty major character in the development of the future of Starmaninja). After drawing her father Void though and making him look more feral, I finally had the inspiration I was looking for. Giving her a more feral appearance with longer, wild hair and piercing eyes. It fit well with this "monster Gene" or "Hyde Gene"? concept I kept dreaming about.
Yeah, I've been sluggish with uploading lately, but I want to either shade or color the drawings I do before I upload them. Motive has been kind of low lately as I work on my site and other ideas, but it's getting there.
1. With this new concept, I really wanted her to have a more monsterous appearance while still being just as technological as she would be. Though frankly, given the way her mother is, and how the Starmaninjians tend to be, her actions in a lab would still differ greatly from that of an Earth scientist. They both are the type that love the whole "Let's blow stuff up and fly rocket planes!" type of science. Leave the theorycraft to Siberia and Selyra!
2. Her pose is a pose I really wanted to try for a long time. I think it really helps show her personality change, having that kind of hunched and awkward stance look while still smiling innocently.
3. I can't draw weapons for the lol of me. Even if I could, it's not something I'd really spend a lot of time on. Just trying to make her blaster look like those classic 80s/90s space hero blasters. Or like something out of Jazz Jackrabbit.
4. As the title implies, Gene actually did give birth to Jeanette. Most of her other "children" (Viraptor, Tyrena, R.B.R., etc) were built or cloned. Though...they were all brought to life anyway.
