Hmm....those spikes on that monster thing look like they're counter productive by preventing the creature it's caught from going further into it's maw-like area. If they were turned the other way then they'd allow the creature to be fully pulled in and be impaled if the creature tries to escape......Just some nature ramblings don't mind me.

You are corrent, it would be logical to have the teeth to be curved in the other direction. But I wanted the creature to look 'wrong', like something Lovecraftian that shouldn't exist. Also only gave it three tentacles so there didn't appear to be a top or bottom to it's maw.
