The year Ciara turned seven was perhaps the happiest of her entire childhood. There was a lull in the war, and even talk of peace, which meant that for the first time since she could remember her parents were both home as often as not. It meant that her father could actually spend time with her, and in the space of one glorious summer they made up for all the time he had missed over the last six years. It's that year she thinks of the most when she thinks of him.
Like is a massive understatement. You can practically feel the joy and warmth this pic presents, the innocence of youth, and a father's love for their child. Not to mention the happiest little bundle of love...

All of that and more. Zoey does some truly amazing work with capturing just the right emotions in her art and this came out even better than I'd imagined it. Ciara was always very close with her father, even if they did get to see each other much, and spending time with him was one of her favorite things in the world.

Well, nothing is in the works at the moment, but I'd love to get more art of Connor at some point so I'll most likely let him spend more time with Ciara as soon as I possibly can. So stuff is planned, just not yet commissioned.

I'm so glad you like it. Zoey did a fantastic job of capturing just the mood I wanted and of taking my idea and turning it into something really special. My primary timeline is set when Ciara is an adult, but I'm planning to get some more art like this done soon as well.

Oh psh... I did it again: though the art was yours. Comment still stands!
Yes indeed; the happiness can't be adequately described. I can't ever forgive my ex for what she did to me... but helping raise her boy for a little while was the single best experience of my life. :)

I wish I had that kind of talent! But I'm glad you like the image nevertheless.
I've never raised children, myself, but I sometimes get to spend some time with my niece and nephew and it is quite a remarkable experience. I'm glad you got to have the experience, yourself, even if things did go bad in the end.

She really did. She does a really wonderful job with showing emotion in her art and I absolutely love what she's done with this. The sheer happiness they're sharing and the tenderness between them has been realized so beautifully. I'm so glad you like it!
