Alright so, it's been QUITE a while since I've made any art. But again, you all know my situation by now. For those who don't, let's just say: Life's been crazy and hard for me lately. But, I'm not going to go into detail about it all over again. That's not the point of this drawing lol. Now, let's get to the point of this drawing........Lol. So, who is this character......? And what cartoon is he from.......?
So first off, this character is named Hongmao. And he's from a Japanese Anime/Cartoon series called "Rainbow Cat & Blue Rabbit". Also known as "Hongmao And Lantu". And apparently, there is SEVERAL versions of this cartoon. Like for example: Cartoon Happy World, Humorous Theatre, You Asked Me, Legend Of The Seven Swords, etc, etc. The list LITERALLY goes on. From cartoons, to EVEN movies! And they actually have their own OFFICIAL youtube channel for those who are interested: www.youtube.com/channel/UCws-x…. I warn you though, there will be some other shows in the mix that have WEIRD and disturbing thumbnails to some. But, they also do have most of the videos separated into playlists. SADLY though (at this moment of time), there are currently NO english episodes or even subtitles. The show is ONLY in japanese. Which is kinda a downer. HOPEFULLY eventually in the future, there will be AT LEAST subtitles. We'll see. I certainly hope so lol. But none the less (even with the sound muted), it's still pretty interesting to watch. There's still A LOT more I have to thoroughly go through too as a matter of fact lol. Again, there's just SO MANY versions and series of this cartoon, it's almost un-countable lol. But anyways, I recently got myself into this character. He just looks cute!! And awesome too lol. And even though despite the show's are in japenese, I've been learning about the characters and their personalities. It's pretty interesting! And I've been DYING to try and do some fanart of Hongmao ever since I got into the cartoons a month ago or so. But again, life never has been giving me a break. Or giving me the willpower to get out my binder and colored pencils.
But, earlier this week, I FINALLY had the chance to draw some fanart of this character!! So, here's the first one (I have one more coming up after this one)! Looks okay in my personal opinion. I don't think I got the colors right in this one (and I kinda messed up on his eyes). But, other than that, I think it's good enough to present lol. It is also my first time drawing in about a month or two. So, getting into drawing for the first time after a while, you gotta expect me being a little rusty lol. But, what do YOU think........?
