I'm wondering what would happen if some pony simply left the sword in the god of destruction ? Scratch question one I just realized if the sword appears once every 1000 years it means once it dose its job it disappears. I'm assuming it appears at a predetermined location Also dose it have to be the same pony that kills each of the 4 bosses or can different ponies do it. And what about Sun and Moon butts wouldn't they be the most logical choice for hero here ? Finally what if the mobs decided to grab the sword and run or can they grab it ?

Well I guess technically the Mane 6 have not yet done this, depending on how you look at it. Nightmare Moon was defeated but more like restored to Princess Luna, so would that count? Discord is similar, he was defeated but he was reformed and not really a boss villain anymore. Chrysalis was defeated twice but is still on the run. Sombra was certainly one they straight up defeated, hell he blew up so he's dead. So he's a definite candidate. Tirek was defeated as well, sealed within Tartarus so it depends on if that will qualify. Then we have the Pony of Shadows, this one I think might count as the evil entity was defeated and was separate from the host, but in all fairness he was sealed in limbo again. He was also sealed away over 1000 years ago so it's hard to say with this one if that qualifies since he would have been part of the previous cycle as well. If we wanted we could look into the recent movie because the Storm King was also DEFINITELY defeated (killed). The Equestria Girls films also sorta fall into the same line of a villain being restored or in the case of the Dazzlings, stripped of power.
So in total we have 2 definite defeats of the 4 needed. What do you guys think? I mean obviously this is Vav's story and I'm very interested to see where this goes but I couldn't resist attempting to figure out who they might be.
