Taylor tugged at her brother's tail, hoping that this time he would stay.
Tristan looked over his shoulder at her. She was too young to understand that he needed to go to school every morning. That didn't offer him much comfort. Her expression only made him feel guilty for having to leave.

I was looking back through my own gallery and the "Contrast" picture
got me wanting to draw young Taylor and Tristan again.
As I was sitting at the dealership, waiting on my car to get the window replaced, I started sketching this out. I liked where it was going, so I thought I'd post it here.
Your picture, while very simple, is still making me reminisce. My favourite part is little Taylor. I think Taylor's little belly curve is freakin' adorable (strange what one little curvy line can do). I read your characters' bios for the first time today. Was actually going to ask about where their father was, but now I know. Was further going to ask how difficult it is for Tristan to juggle being a "dad" figure on top of being a protective big brother who, on occasion, just wants to take off and do his own thing. Poor kid has no male guidance or role model. Thrust into leadership, lol. I know, it isn't easy. But, having read the details, I think I got it all figured out. Maybe even sharing some similar personal experience with the characters. I am looking forward to the next "big update"! I watch quite a few artists, but not many of them make me look forward to checking in for updates. Maybe three get me eager and excited to see what's happening next. You're one of them. Good job.
