this cartoon was good back then, it just had the worst ending in any show history. seriously? chowder yells for 20 years straight and no one tried to stop him and get him back to normal? mung just retires and almost leaves chowder like that? what kind of ending was that. i could make one up better than that in 5 seconds. but at lease the show ran to where i seen every episode and only very few i dint like. most were good to decent depending on the episode

Could be worse. For example, the recent finale of the animated series "teenage mutant ninja Turtles" from Nickelodeon. In end on New York fell mutagenic bomb, the Earth became a poison desert, and almost all characters died, except the teenage mutant ninja turtles. Truly "happy end".

Come on, "Chowder" never had a lot of sense, and Chowder intelligence is not higher than Stimpy from "Ren and Stimpy Show". In place of Mung I would also leave him to hell with his stupid hysterical scream. Seriously, C.H Greenblatt made Chowder in the cartoon series too stupid. So this ending is quite logical, oddly enough.
And the ending "TMNT" 2012 just awful. Because this is exactly the ending that completely kills the whole point of the cartoon series. It turns out FOR WHY ninja turtles fought bad guys, all hundred series and saved the world, if in the last episode on the ground fell a big bomb and killed them all.
