Ok. I know I asked how I seriously haven't added characters until now, but this time I mean it and for real this time. "How have I NOT added in these two yet?" Kang & Kodos, the original icons of Halloween specials! (before anyone says anything, YES I'm fully aware Halloween specials existed before Simpsons started their Tree House of Horror specials, I'm just saying that because they're so iconic) While I can safely say that this year's Final Five has included characters already that I enjoy far more then these two, I had to give them as high a ranking as possible, just due to their notoriety. Being the characters used as the Halloween specials for one of the world's most well known shows for over 29 years is a real accomplishment. Granted their appearances aren't limited to ONLY Tree House of Horror specials, but that's where they're most well known.
While I've not kept up with the Simpsons for years, it's always been a beloved series of mine and I'll always remember their great Halloween specials. October just wouldn't be complete with Tree House of Horror and the alien sibling duo were always a treat regardless of whether they were malicious, benevolent or just giant cosmic dicks for no reason. I guess I never added the two because I felt it was too easy, they're too quintessential to Halloween by this point... but I also gave Jack Skellington a no. 1 spot once, so I guess sometimes you just gotta' go with what fits, even if it's totally expected. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I never fail to creep myself out with how well I can imitate the Matt Groening art style... just felt I'd mention.
