Another redesign for a character that didn't get a chance to show up in the MOTU reboot.

At the dawn of human history, the great dragon Granamyr declared humanity under his care, wanting to help guide the fledgling species in its infancy. But when the pride and hubris of the humans grew too much for the ancient dragon to bare, he rescinded this protection. No creature knew greater joy that day then dread Shadow Wing, who laid down a path of destruction against humans that had never been seen before. But when his fellow dragons failed to match his genocidal lust, Shadow Wing madly turned on them, injuring several. Thus did Granamyr have no choice but to face one of his own in combat, defeating Shadow Wing. Unwilling to slay the dark dragon, Granamyr instead cursed him, transforming him into a small, weak form in the hopes he would learn some humility of his own. Banished to the Tar Swamp, Shadow Wing became Imp, terrorizing the swamp for centuries before meeting Hordak. Sensing the power of the Elder Dragon, Hordak struck a deal, the services of Shadow Wing in return for revenge on Eternia itself.
