Sir Elek and Lionel "LionMonk" Cruz hate each other. For Lionel, The reason is because he feels the wolf has taken his place as the chosen protector of Prince Torin Zenowing and believes that the Prince only needs one protector...him. For Elek, it's LionMonk's attitude. The Lion made it clear that he would not tolerate the Ex-Slave's fighting style,His Lifedebt with Torin,his slightly childish outlook nor the idea that maybe he and Elek could both protect Torin.
This clash of persoanlities lead to problems, climaxing in the two nearly killing each other in a training session. Torin put his foot down and gave them a ultimatum. Go help 100 people around the empire and learn how to be a team...or he would choose Xaio Ronpou as his guardian.
Needless to say, Elek and LionMonk quickly agreed to this mission.
This time, they were sent to help a village that claimed to be under attack by the infamous Giran. LionMonk had fought Giran before and was wondering why he had left retirement just to harass a single village.. Sir Elek,however, was excited to see the former champion, having heard of him during his childhood as a arena fighter.
The First contact didn't go well. Elek, being a little dense, accidentally woke the sleeping elder up and ended up in a fight with him,getting wrapped up in Giran's pink gum attack and slowly being squeezed.
Lionmonk decided to end it there as while he did enjoy seeing the wolf getting ass handed to him, he knew they had a mission and Torin would not be happy if he lost his 'brother'...
After some talking, the three realized that someone was framing Giran and it was decided that something should be done...
And Sir Elek had a plan for that.
Lionmonk decided that Sir Elek's plan,have Giran explain what happened to the townsfolk and enlist their aid in tracking the dopplegoon gang,a gang of shapeshifting Dragons, was stupid and decided to go off on his own to fight them...
And got captured for his effort.
Both Giran and Elek went after the Gang and soon found them a bound and stripped to his underwear LionMonk. the duo quickly defeated the gang and while Giran was busy beating some sense into the copy cat dragons,Sir Elek went over to where LionMonk was bound...and sat down to read a book for a little while. While the wolf isn't cruel by anymeans, LionMonk had pushed Elek's buttons a bit too much as of late and well... It wouldn't hurt to let him just hang there for a tinnyyyy bit now, would it?
