Back when I was a kid watching cartoons (unlike now!!), I thought it would have been so funny to see Wile E. Coyote—strapped to his rocket—lighting his tail instead of the fuse. Many years later, with the arrival of the internet, I discovered a sketch by Roadrunner creator Charles M. (Chuck) Jones who had rendered the exact same idea. Wow. That sketch has made the rounds and has been embellished by a wide array of artists and fans. And now, yours truly chimes in. With another coyote in the mix. ^,^ *•* Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote are property of Warner Brothers and their affiliates.
Wile E. was mentioned in a BONES episode where a computer simulation as to how a victim sustained its injuries. The person was depicted falling, cartwheeling down a steep multi-floor flight of stairs and then off a high cliff, to land on its feet ! Sarcastically Brennan told her forensic team (Montenegro, Hodgkins, ...) "Congradulations, you have killed Wile E. Coyote !).
As depicted, the stairs were not something I would ascend or descend.
(Bones is shown in multi-episode sequences on Wed. & thurs. on channel 51. from 2 to 8 p.m. Enjoy the corpses !)
