If there is anything solid about Alexander's strange lifestyle, it's that no matter what; he always comes home to find a pair of skunklings curled up asleep in his bed, waiting for him to come home. But he's never woken them up, because he finds it heartmeltingly adorable.

So he just falls asleep on the couch instead, but still wakes up to find a pair of skunks snoozing atop him in the morning.

Aww, just look at these precious little darlings! They look so sweet and cute and innocent, and I wouldn't have the heart to wake them, either. No matter how much fun it would be to cuddle up with them and sleep in an even bigger, fluffier pile!

Truth of the matter, is they're feigning being asleep because they hear when Alex comes in; but since he never joins them and sleeps on the couch, they wait until he falls asleep then snooze on him instead.

Sometimes it's best to let sleeping skunk lye, else it becomes smelly if you suprise them...

They can't spray. In my universe, Kin (furs) were modified at the genetic level when they were kidnapped from their planets to be sold off to people as pets and cheap labor, marketed as "The Pinnacle of Bio-Engineering".

Besides, Cassandra will get angry at me if I come in smelling like grease and sweat from dismantling parts... she's a real stickler for things being in order, and Carrie makes some rather sweet-scented, flowery shampoo that really, really smells wonderful in the fur.

I love how the artist did them, she is amazing at her work. I think she's strictly SFW though, but good lord almighty is it just all sorts of cute.

And as for my skunklings, can pet them any time you wish. They're actually quite friendly towards people, just... know Carrie is a shyball, and will most likely stammer for a while before he gets used to being around you. Poor nervous little skunk...

These two are just the sweetest little things. You just want to snuggle up to them, but that would wake them up. I love how calm and relaxed they look, and Carrie using his sister as a pillow is adorable!

I dunno, they're just as sweet as a certain mamabun.

And you can snuggle them, Alex just doesn't get that they're not really asleep when he gets home. maybe one day he'll put 2+2 together.
