Soooo, I had had intentions on working on my Fiona pinup... but got distracted.
I do not know how... but for whatever reason, I have decided to give Blender a fair go. A true proper one really getting my paws wet... I've had Blender since nearly the beginning of 2017, but just never found the time to commit to it.
This is the results of my first day of dabbling...nothing amazing really, modeled my favourite coffee mug. +1 if you recognise and understand what the doughnut is about.
SOOOO much to learn still, esp with 2.8 coming around soon! Cant wait. I am just blown away by what all Blender is capable of... and the stunning beauty of Cycles. I have heaps I want to learn... drawing is nice... but this could REALLY bring characters to life. Do I really have to say who is 1st?! Animations... scenery... and even the possibility of putting action to all the ideals I spout out about games.
A lot of aspects (nodes, compositing, lighting to name a few) remind me directly of Fusion and DaVinci so those came natural.
Blender really is like magician's bag of 1000 tricks... they are all great, you just have to know which ones to use for a given task and how to execute them *^_^*
