(First, I know I have several different kinds of content, I hope you're okay with that. I just post what's relevant to me.)

I sculpted Rosechu from the Sonichu universe. Heard of it? If not, don't look it up- your life will be consumed.

I'm going to 3D print this. I mostly did this for practice sculpting, and also as an experiment in finishing larger prints. I've never made a model start to finish in 3D Coat, I've always at least partially used Blender. This is really my first time working with a high poly model for everything, including the hard surface stuff like the bag and tail. I really like how it came out. And it took a quarter of the time!

I think I learned that I was doing a lot wrong before. I wasn't using the tools correctly, I found that I really need to avoid anything other than the grab/move or transform tool for hard surfaces. I also learned that the secret is an extensive use of adding more shapes to the model, modeling them separately, and smoothing them together. My old technique was just to start with a sphere, pull it out, and try to work from there, which is probably why it always came out so bad before. I'll work on another model while this prints, hopefully I can get some more practice in. One day I'd like to take commissions. I've already done a few for friends, but the time it takes me to make the models is a major bottleneck.

Anyways, I was inspired by this 3D print https://inkbunny.net/s/1447061 by

(I hope it's okay to link it here, if not, please let me know.) I really wanted to make Amy Rose, but I knew if I did, it wouldn't be as good and I'd just be disappointed in myself :P So I decided to make a bootleg. And of course because Rosechu does nothing but shop and cook for her husband, Sonichu, I had to give her a shopping bag from the Fa-Square Sho-Mall Region.

I've started printing the head already. I previously messed with my print settings and I've been having trouble getting things to work again, so hopefully it won't be long to post an update.
