We picked up Rocky from the vet today at 3. I totally didn't cry when he limped over to me with an enthusiastically wagging tail and licked and wanted to jump up on me. Honest. Someone put these tears on my face. I'm TOTALLY made of stone and apathy.

The final bill for -just the surgery- came to $4616.82. It's less than we feared, but Rocky will need more X-Rays which are $100 a pop in 3 weeks and again at 6 weeks to see if his bone has grown around the implants. I'm hoping we can manage these ourselves with just our credit card.
We're still going to stick with asking for $2500 though to handle the initial payments, with any overflow we get going towards the final bill and/or getting him new toys to rip apart during his lengthy 9-week recovery process. Rocky won't be going for a full leg day until winter. If I can outrun the payments by launching Wild Coast (And it's successful) then we might have a chance at paying for the rest ourselves. If it flops... we'll have to figure something else out.
