Rocky made it through his surgery. They said that it went very well and that Rocky himself has been a model patient the whole time. He lost quite a bit of blood during the procedure, so they're monitoring him closely to be sure he's gaining red blood cells to be sure he's not still bleeding somewhere in there. They -might- have to give him a transfusion, but they don't expect any trouble. We've already made him a new comfy doggie mattress in a hand-me-down kennel because he's going to need to be kept very quiet and still for 2 weeks while his bone heals. Then, he'll need to have sutures taken out, then in another 4 weeks he'll get X-Rays to see how his bone's healing... and only THEN will he be allowed to even start walking regularly on it.
over $600 now! I cannot express enough how much this means to us. We just do NOT have the means to pay for this all ourselves. Tomorrow, we should be able to pick him up and then we'll know the FULL extent of the bill and figure out our next steps, whatever they may be. I'm going to be busting my ass trying to finish what commissions remain and finish off Pet Project so I can launch The Wild Coast ASAP for SOME kind of hope of a regular, reliable income.
Remember, if we can get to $2000, I'll revive Sketch Club for 2 months and dedicate 12 hours a week to doing free raffle streams!
I hope that you can make your goal, I was raised and trained dogs most of my life so I can understand how much it hurts to see him like that and feel helpless.
