Foxy Amanda Fuchs
There's No Way, Chapter 41
Penny Wydra
Jinse Xiongmao is the owner of The Golden Panda restaurant in Jaguarville, Flamingo (Florida), husband of Diane Xiongmao, a red panda, and adoptive father of Mei Xiongmao, a flying fox.  His name means golden in Chinese.  He is a “giant” panda with a genetic condition that causes his fur to be golden yellow where it's white on other pandas.  He speaks English with an obvious, but mild, Chinese accent.  Later, it's revealed that he speaks with the accent because most of the English speaking patrons of his restaurant expect him to speak that way.  He actually speaks nearly perfect, accentless, English thanks to his wife, born in Amurica, taught him to speak better.  He tends to wear traditional Chinese clothing, except when he's cooking at his restaurant.  Then, he wears traditional western chef clothing.

This drawing was another commission by Brittany Shepard.  http://www.furaffinity.net/user/evonallure/  She does the web comic Evon.

Thank you.  Jinse is a minor character in the story I'm working on with Amanda Fuchs in it.  I decided to create his character when I had Michael and Amanda sent by the company they work for to Jaguarville and it's revealed that Michael loves Chinese food.  I hadn't even considered a panda character until I needed him.  Except for main characters, I tend to only create new ones when, and if, I need them.

Good plan! I tend to do the same.

Originally, I saw Jinse as more muscular and a little less rotund than the artist drew him, but he is a bit older (around 40) therefore, his body is starting to show the roundness that comes with age in a human male.

Thanks.  The reason I had originally seen him as more muscular is because he's from a smallish village in central Charna (China) and grew up working on his family's farm.  However, he also spent a lot of time in the kitchen with his parents and learned how to cook from watching and assisting them.  It wasn't until he reached the age of 18 and moved to Amurica that he made cooking as his full-time profession.  After seeing Brittany's version of him and thinking of how long he's been in Amurica, I decided that a more rotund (not overweight) body would fit him better.
