Xcom 2 Story Part 4: Spooky Scary Anti Skeletons

Chapter 1: A Little Backstory
“Sans…. SANS! WAKE UP!” I rolled over to face the opposite direction. Papyrus still stood over my bed, no doubt giving me a look.  Papyrus grabbed my shoulder a bit, not giving up. Eventually, I sat up.
*“W- what is it dude?” I asked, wiping my eyes.
“We are already exactly 1 minute and 49 seconds late for morning patrol! Get your lazy bones up and let’s go!” Papyrus threw my blankets off my bed and pointed his finger towards the door. I rolled my eyes and started making my way down the hall.
You see, you maybe wondering why we are not in the Underworld dealing with Chara or hanging out with Flisk, but something happened. I can’t quite fully remember it, but once when the world reset, it glitched out  and ended up freezing the timeline in this one. This caused all the monsters who made it through stuck in the overworld. Mostly it is all the normal guys like Undyne, Asgore, and the other main characters that made it through. Most of them just stick to themselves but we have run into them a few times. None of us has seen Chara or Flisk since we ended up in the Overworld, but I’ll be fine if we don’t see them. I’d rather not run into Chara mid patrol… that would not be good for anyone.
Regardless, once I got through the barrier, it did not take me long to find Papyrus in the middle of a small empty town. Soon other monsters found us and we made a small little camp there. Our first contact with Advent was not all too bad, as because they had a lot of monster like creatures with them. But they did demand payment for protection. About a month after that an Xcom scout, Kayla I think her name was, came by.  She almost shot Papyrus but I managed to keep everything under control. She offered us to join Xcom but after thinking it through with the other monsters we thought Advent was the better option, take it that they had a lot of monsters with them already. After a short demonstration of our power, we were in. And we have been with them ever since. It’s been nice, being able to use Xcom humans as target practice. Although there is one Advent guy, Shields… he is really a human who betrayed Xcom. Sure I was a bit worried at first, but he has his own personal reasons for hating Xcom, so I just got used to it.
After getting my sweater, shorts and slippers on, me and Papyrus went to the main entrance of the Blacksite. We passed Shields on the way by and he gave me our morning patrol route. Apparently, we were to go to the north by the river and back down the old lookout cabin wew a rogue Xcom soldier was spotted last week.
“Alright, where are we going thing time?” Papyrus asked.
*“Up north by the river, apparently some Advent boats found a rouge Xcom guy and some soldiers got killed. They wanna make sure the area is clear.” I replied, showing Papyrus the map.
“Really, that’s so far though. Are you sure you can handle it?” Papyrus said sarcastically.
“Ha, ha. Very funny Pap. Let’s just get moving.” I walked past Papyrus in the direction of the river. Sure it was boring, but I guess it had to be done.

Chapter 2: The Mystery Light Source
It took us a couple of hours to get up to the river, and we could not really see much of anything. Papyrus started looking down river and I took a look in the distance towards the old lookout cabin. I could see what almost looked like a blood trail leading towards the cabin, I went to turn to Papyrus but apparently he found something too.
*“What do ya got, bro?” I asked walking beside him. He pointed down the river.
“You see down by that dock in the distance? It almost looked like one of those Advent patrol boats got beached down there.” I leaned over the wall of the river and found what Papyrus was talking about. A rusted looking boat was wedged in the sand. Before we went down there I wanted to check out the cabin first.
*“That’s interesting pap, but we gotta swing by the cabin first. That and it is easier to reach, because it is not across a river.” I started to drag Papyrus along.
“Oh fine!” Papyrus started following behind me and it did not take long to reach the cabin. A pile of Advent corpses were at the front door.
*“Ok, Pap cheek the perimeter of the cabin, I’ma go look for stuff inside.” papyrus went off searching and I took a step inside the dark cabin. I summoned a bit of my telekinesis, the light coming from my eye lit up the cabin. Yeah, I said telekinesis and my eye glows when I do it, don’t ask. Regardless, there was a lot of blood splattered all over the walls and ground. I’m guessing the Xcom scout had a run in with the now dead Advent soldiers that are here. Suddenly, I heard heard Papyrus shouting from outside. I darted outside, telekinesis ready to summon a Gaster Blaster. I scanned the tree line looking around for what Papyrus got scared by.
*“Ugh… Papyrus? What is even out here?” I asked, telekinesis fading off.
“Don’t you see the bright scary light that just appeared from outta nowhere?” papyrus replied, pointing into the trees.  It took me a bit to find, but it was definitely there.
*“Alright, let’s go check it out. Stay behind me. I mean it, understand?” I turned to look at Papyrus.
“Yes, fine I guess. Let’s go!” We started walking into the trees slowly, it could be anything over there. Some wild monster or just an abandoned Advent patrol car. Only one way to find out.

Chapter 3: Our Evil Twins
We approached the light and before we made it to the clearing, we started heard distant voices. I turned to face Papyrus and told him to be quiet. We got to the edge of the clearing and waited it out. The Voices starting to get more clear.
“AGGGGGH! What the hell was that?” One gruff voice shouted.
*“How am I supposed to know boss, one moment she was there, next BAM! We are here.” The other snapped. Then out of nowhere, to figures bursted out of the light and it quickly went out. It took me a second to notice the height difference between them… then well, you wouldn't believe me.
“I can’t believe you got us into this Sans! Now what?” The tall once shouted.
*“I’m sorry Papyrus, but how was I supposed to know that Flisk has weird teleport magic?!?” The small one replied. Me and Papyrus exchanged looks. Are these like, copies of us? From some kinda alternate universe? But how is that possible, and how did they make it here? My list of questions could go  on forever and ever. Before I knew it, Papyrus was outta the bush and approaching out mystery twins. I ran out after him and gently pushed him behind me. These guys looked more evil than us, like the Underworld was flipped upside down and everyone got a personality swap. Almost like they were the Anti Sans and papyrus.
“Well, how are we gonna get back?” Anti Papyrus snapped.
*“I don’t know boss, maybe we can find this world’s Flisk and have her teleport us back?” Anti Sans snapped back. Did Sans just call Papyrus boss? I had no time to think because Papyrus got around me.
“I don’t think that will be possible…” Normal Papyrus stepped in, the Anti Skeletons jumped.
*“AGH! What the hell? Who are you?” Anti San’s eye started glowing red, like when mine goes blue.
“Well, I am the great Papyrus, and back there is my lazy brother Sans!” Papyrus gestured at me. I stepped up beside him.
*“What’s up, evil us?” I put my hands in my sweater pocket, trying to play this cool. Anti Sans’s eyes faded to normal and a look of confusion washed over his face.
“Wait… what do you mean?” Anti Papyrus stepped up. He and Normal Papyrus exchanged looks.
“Hummm….” The both muttred in unison.
“Huh, almost like looking into a mirror!” Normal Papyrus blared.
“A very weird mirror though…” Anti Papyrus muttred.
*“Alright, hold up. How’d you guys even get here?” I asked, getting to the point.
*“You might wanna grab a seat pal, it’s kinda a long story.” Anti Sans sat on a log, he told Anti Papyrus to do the same. Me and Normal Papyrus sat on a log a little to the left of them.
*“I’m all ears, even if I have none.” I leaned in, ready to hear this.
*“Ok, so it all started just a few hours ago… or maybe a few minutes… agh I can’t member! Anyway, my brother was trying to teach me to become a Royal Guard member, even though I could care less about it.” Anti Sans Started.
*“Our Royal Guard disbanded after we made it to the overworld.” I commented.
*“Your lucky then. Anyway, we was all talking about combat stances and defence tactics when suddenly, a small kid that kinda looked like Flisk appeared from behind a wall. I mean, he have kids down in Underfell, but our Flick wears a red striped shirt. This kid has a purple striped shirt. Also, a tall goat women was there as well. The kid was trying to get me to walk over, but Papyrus was still looking in my direction.”
*“Kids are awesome, our Flisk helped us escape into the overworld, but we have not seen her since. They have a striped purple shirt on all the time!” I added.
*“Interesting… anyway I had to wait for Papyrus to look away. And as he turned around mid rant I took the opportunity and rushed the wall. They started to tell me about a better Underworld, one where every is nice… well nicer anyway. But Papyrus noticed I ditched him and came storming over. Flisk got scared and activated some weird magic and a light blinded us. Before we knew it, we ended up here. And well, you know the rest.” Anti Sans finished.
*“Interesting, well Advent accepted us into their team. I’m sure they will do the same for you guys.” I said.
*“Cool, can you take us to them?” Anti Sans asked.
*“Sure, we have multiple bases and outposts across the surface world, but we will take you to the one me and my brother moved into. It’s a training facility for Advent’s sliders. We have lots of friends there, I’ll explain on the way.” I waved them over and me and Normal Papyrus started walking towards the Blacksite.
*“Alright, hey Papyrus, come on!” Anti Sans shouted to his brother, but Normal papyrus looked as well. *“What? No not you Papyrus, my Papyrus! AGH let’s just go!” Anti Sans wiped his face and started following us, Anti Papyrus not far behind.
*“This is gonna get confusing…” I muttered, leading the way.
*“Yeah that’s for sure. Anyway, let’s just go. Gonna leave the Papyrus’ to do there thing.” Anti Sans caught up to me. We started walking and talking and I soon realized that we were gonna have no problems getting along. I just hope the same will be for the rest of the guys at the Blacksite.

Chapter 4: House Guests
*“So, what do you normally do around here?” Anti Sans asked as we were walking down to the Backsite.
*“My hobbies are puns… and ketchup. And I guess some patrolling around.” I replied. A smile grew on Anti San’s face.
*“I like to Kach- Up too!” Anti Sans bursted out laughing.
*“I see, we will get along just fine.” I winked. Papyrus gave me a look.
*“I’m happy to hear that.” Anti Sans winked at me and held out his hand for  shake, but I sould see the strap around the back of his hand. I crossed my arms and gave him a look, he drew his hand back, busted.
*“I see you know the buzzer in the hand trick.” Anti Sans concluded.
*“I normally use a whoopie cushion, but close enough. Regardless, the Blacksite is just up here.” I replied as we walked upon the Blacksite. As we came up to the door, we passed Shields who was at his guard tower. He looked down from his tower to greet us, but it took him a moment to notice out twins.
“Oh hey Sans, what’s up other Sans.” Shields said.
*“What’s up?” Both me and Anti Sans said in unison.
“Wait… other Sans? What the?” Shields almost jumped outta his tower when we came to realization that I had a evil body double.
*“Took ya long enough.” I winked.
“Oh great, first Keeper multiplies and now you and Papyrus? God what’s next!?” Shields shouted.
*“Well, there is your brother Jet, he could show up.” I laughed. You see, Shield’s real name is Drax Sunstrider. He is the brother to Jet Sunstrider, the Xcom commander working in the the same region we are. His HQ is not that far, either.
“Oh whatever, where'd the come from anyway?” Shields asked. Anti Sans stepped up and told Shields what he told me. A blank stare filled Shield’s face. “Oh whatever, just find them a room to stay in and work it out from there. I still have an hour on my guard shift anyway.” Shields waved us off.
“He seems nice…” Anti Papyrus whispered in my ear.
*“Eh, he get annoying at times, but you’ll get used to him.” I replied.
“Huh, whatever you say.” Anti papyrus walked off into the main courtyard of the Blacksite. Me and Papyrus caught up to them and we found them looking around. A group of Advent Trainees ran by and gave them confused looks. I had to explain the whole thing to them but they did not believe, go figure.
*“Anyway, me and Anti Pap are gonna look around.” Anti Sans and his brother started walking towards the mess hall, running into Keeper. Keeper floated back, his eye going crazy with confusion, after the Anti Skeletons passed he quickly floated to me and Papyrus.
“Ugh… but… you…they... SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANS!?????!!!!” Keeper shouted at us, but I took a minute to explain things.
*“Listen pal, as me and papyrus were out on patrol, we found a light source coming from the treeline…” I went on to explain what happened, the keeper looking just as confused as Shields was. Before you knew it, Caller also floated up. Apparently she also had her own run in with the Anti Skeletons.
In case you don’t know, Keeper and Caller are both Gatekeepers. Although, Keeper got blaster upgrades from me and he also just learned a bunch of different psionic abilities, as he called it. Caller is already naturally talented in that psionics magic stuff. Regardless, Caller started blaring out stuff.
“Sans, you do realize that there are evil version of you and Papyrus wandering the Blacksite, correct?” She asked, trying to keep her cool.
   *“Yep.” I replied, getting tired.
“Ok, WHERE DID THEY COME FROM!!??” She snapped. I once again, explained everything for like the third time.
“Anyway, I’m due for a nap. Don’t worry they will be fine… hopefully.” I yawned and went to mine and Papyrus’s room and flopped on the bed, instantly falling asleep.

Chapter 4: GET DUNKED ON!!
As I was sleeping, I could heat muffled footsteps walking towards my bed. I felt someone shaking my shoulder, then whispering in my non existent ears.
“Heeeeeeeey Sans, wake up!” Shields whispered.
*“Five more minutes.” I muttred. Shields ran outta the room, then I heard something being dragged across the floor. I rolled over and opened my eyes just in time to see Shields dunk a basketball on one of those mobile nets he set up above my bed.
“GET DUNKED ON!” Shields shouted as the basketball bounced of my head and rolled out the room. Papyrus walked in the room just in time to see me lift up Shields with my telekinesis head first in the net.
*“THAT is how one gets dunked on, my friend!” I chuckled a bit, watching him struggle to get free. Shields fell flat on his face after getting untangled.
“Cheater…” He mumbled as we walked over to me, picked my up and threw me into the net. As I got tangled my eye started glowing and my fight theme, Megalovania started playing.
“Well Shields, I might wanna run if I were you.” Papyrus laughed. But the world went black and white, and we were positioned facing each other. Just like Undertale all over again, but I’d not gonna hurt him… much. Not like he’s Chara or anything.
“If the Skeleton wants to fight, why not! I’m not gonna run and hide!” Shields readied his rifle and charged his shield ability. I cracked my knuckles and readied my telekinesis. This is gonna be fun.
“Just don’t wreck the place!” Papyrus shouted over the music.
*“No promises, bro!” I shouted back. Regardless, we both got ready to brawl.
Shields let me attack first, and I did my normal first attack. A small bone barrage and a few Gaster Blaster beams. He handled it well but got hit a bit by the beams. He shook it off and fired a few rounds at me, I easily dodged it, taunting him. He smiled and threw a grenade at me, landing just a few feet from me. Unlucky for him, he forgot to cook the damn thing and I quickly kicked it back at him. It exploded and I noticed his HP go down to 60 out of 70. He ended up not attacking next turn.
“What do you get when you fight Sans in space? A Supernovaina!” Shields tells a pun. Clever bastard! It was incredibly funny! I could feel my AP go down a bit, I shoot it off and summoned my telekinesis. I picked him up and threw him across the room, and he landed against the wall with a THUD, his health going down to 45. He got up with a wicked smile on his face, he holstered his rifle walked back to his place.
“Listen Sans, I don’t know if anyone told you, but we really sold half the ketchup in the storage room!” Shields taunted me. I did a unstable laugh, and my eye grew brighter. My AP came back to full power. I could just feel the fear coming from Shields’s mind. I could see his AP go down. I rolled my eyes and calmed down. I guess I’ll let him live. Shields took out a flashbang and threw it at me, it detonated on impact, I got blinded and kinda confused. Shield’s use this to fire a few shots at me. Luckily I shortcutted to the left just in time. I got over the flashbang effect and I got ready to summon the special attack Asriel taught me in another timeline. I focused all my power and thought on the attack, and the ground started glowing blue.  Shields took a step back, and moments later, a huge skull bursted from the ground and grabbed Shields between it’s teeth, and started to spin. Shields started shooting rapidly, magnetic bullets flying everywhere. He hit the skull enough to send him flying across the room, leaving a crack in the wall. The skull disappeared and the ability drained me out of my energy. So I walked back to my bed and curled up under the blankets. Shields got up and noticed me sleeping. I guess he wanted to keep his limbs, cause colour returned to the world and the fight music faded.
“Wise choice, my friend.” Papyrus laughed, patting Shields on the back.
“Yeah, if I learned anything is that always let sleeping skeletons lie.” Shields chuckled. “Anyway, I need rest after that. You should check on the Anti Skeletons though.” Shields walked off, and I continued with my midday nap.

Chapter 5: Mystery of The Broken Timeline
The next day, Anti Sans was wandering outside the Blacksite. I caught up with him and he almost blasted me.
*“Jesus, sorry dude. Guess I’m not used to this friendly environment.” Anti relaxed.
*“No big. Wow, your Underworld must've been hell if you think a fellow skeleton is gonna backstab you.” I replied.
*“You don’t know the half of it. As you might of noticed, everyone in Underfell is evil… except Flowey. Everyone believes in the Kill or be Killed concept, and if any human even gets near a monster, well… the human is gonna have it’s LAST time.” Anti’s eyes went dark. I took a minute to take it in.
*“Well, at least you don’t have to deal with it anymore. As so now, the timelines seem to be broken, for lack of a better word.” I patted Anti on the back.
   *“Not broken, frozen.” Anti said.
*“What do you even mean?” I asked.
*“Have you ever heard of Error Sans?” Anti replied. Honestly, the only AU I ever heard of is Aftertale. Like, I do know there are thousands of AU’s out there, I just never heard of any of them. Only Aftertale and I guess, Underfell now.
   *“No, can’t say I have.” I replied.
*“Well, apparently before the timeline freeze, a different timeline of you got corrupted. Something caused you to just lose it and slip into the multiverse. This ended having your code get corrupted, and turning into a crazy glitch. This new, Error Sans wants to destroy all AU’s except for Aftertale. And now he has found a way to freeze the timelines so he can travel through to any universe he wants to with ease. And I guess Flisk learned how or I don’t know how else we would've gotten here, unless Error moved us here himself. But I swear I remember seeing Flisk at the AU portal.” Anti explained. My mind just got flipped upside down. So that explains the frozen timeline, and how Anti Sans and Pap got here, but how did the old timeline get corrupted? And there is another, glitched version of me planning to destroy everything?
*“I am confused…” I said, sitting on  supply create.
*“I don’t expect you to understand this very moment, but I hope you come around to it.” Anti replied.
*“So you're saying that Error is just running around, jumping AU to AU, and no one cares?” I asked.
*“Oh no, he has his enemies. Basically any AU who’s heard of him thinks he’s crazy, but there are two AU Sans in particular who actually takes action against him. Ink and Dream Sans from the creative realm constantly fight him, working together to help save the AUs, as they think they are not mistakes.” Anti replied.
*“But are they mistakes?” I asked.
*“Well all the main one aren't, in my opinion. That includes Aftertale, Underfell, Underswap, Inktale, and Dreamtale. And I guess Errortale, but most of them just hang out in the multiverse. But there are some crazy ones out there, but again that’s just me.” Anti replied.
*“How do you know so much of this?” I blared.
*“When you spend a few days with the guy, there is really not much to read about.” Anti replied.
*“Wait… you know him?” I asked.
*“Yes, he goes around capturing the AU Sans to process them. Don’t Ask.” Anti replied.
*“This is just crazy.” I concluded.
*“Again, I’m not surprised you don’t understand.” Anti patted me on the back. Then suddenly time slowed down, getting ever slower until it completely froze, but the thing is, me and Anti were perfectly fine. We then started to hear faint, static filled voice echoing through the Blacksite. Anti got up and his eye started burning red.
*“That the hell??!!” I asked, and also jumped a bit.
*“Well, looks like you get to meet Error!” Anti yelled as a tear in the sky formed, but it looked like a portal.

Chapter 6: Error!Sans
As the tear opened, we could hear laughing coming from inside. Me and Anti exchanged looks, his eye still burning. I was still so confused I had no idea what to do. But then the laughing got closer and before long I could hear a voice.
*“We-e-e-e-e-ell well well, w-w-w-w-w-what do he have h-h-h-h-h-h-here?” The voice cracked and stuttered, like a glitched computer program. But even through all that static, it still sounded familiar. Then a figure appeared at the entrance of the tear, silhouetted by the light. Then the figure jumped down, laned with a thud and he stood up and I noticed it look like me… well more like a Sans a guess. But he looked weird, with dark black clothes and what looked like yellow circles running down his chest. One eye just had a tiny blue pupil as the other was a sparkling blue circle. Also, the word Error was flashing over random spots on his clothes as well.
*“I’m gonna guess this is Error.” I whispered to Anti, he nodded slowly, keeping his eyes on Error.
*“You t-t-t-t-t-think you can h-h-h-h-h-hide from me, d-d-d-d-d-did you Fe-e-e-ell?” Error said, gesturing to Anti.
*“Wait… did it just call you fell?” I asked turning towards Anti.
*“In the AU world, my nickname is Fell because of how evil everyone is in Underfell… and and the AU name is Underfell anyway.” Anti… or Fell replied.
*“I was not trying to hide from you, Error, you know Flisk dragged me through the portal! She did not even mean too!!” Fell shouted.
*“O-o-o-o-o-oh, not like i-i-i-i-it matters anymore, a-a-a-a-a-as I did freeze the t-t-t-t-t-t-imel-l-l-l-l-line.” Error waved his hand, like he was casting us away.
*“What does that even mean?” I blared.
*“I t-t-t-t-thought y-y-y-y-y-you heard about m-m-m-me already, c-c-c-c-Classic.” Error started into my eyes.  *“R-r-r-r-regardless, it does not ma-a-a-a-a-ater anymore.” Error held out his hand, and stringed snapped from under his sleeve and reached out to catch me and Fell. Right before they grabbed us, another portal opened to the left of us, but this time it looked more like a rainbow. Something that looked like a paintbrush flew out and cut the strings halfway, saving us. Soon after another Sans leaped out of the rainbow. This one had quite the getup on. The defining features of hm is the black paint on his cheek, he also had my jacked around his hips. And the scarf around his neck looked like it was about as long as he is tall. Regardless, the paintbrush flew back and landed in his hand, his eye was glowing too, but it was changing colours every second.
*“Don’t think you can just jump in so quickly, Error.” The new Sans said.
*“I’m guessing that one in Ink?” I tuned to Fell.
*“Yeah, he and Error kinda hate each other. Ink protects the AU’s as Error destroys them.” Fell replied.
*“I can see the conflict.” I replied. All of a sudden, there was like 4 Megalovania’s playing at once. We were all centred in the field around the Blacksite. Me, Fell, and Ink VS Error. Three on one, this should be easy. The fing music calmed down and settled on mine, the classic. Error laughed as he shot out more strings, grabbing me by the arm. My telekinesis kicked in instantly and shot a bone attack at Error. He shortcutted to the left and threw me across the field with his strings. I quickly shortcutted to the ground to avoid fall damage and got up. Error shot his own bone attack at Fell, but his bones were dead black and fading in and out of existence. One bounced of Fell’s knee and the others whiffed. Ink summoned one of his Gaster Blasters, firing a rainbow beam at Error. Error sidestepped to the right throwing more stings, catching Fell and Ink. They were trapped. I focused my power on Asriel’s attack, and the ground started glowing blue again.

Chapter 7: The Creative Realm
Error was the first to notice the ground change, and right before he sidestepped out of the the way, the ground exploded and the skull grabbed Error by the legs. He got so confused, he sent Fell and Ink flying across the field, but they were still tied up by Error’s strings. As Error was spinning, he blasted the skull with his own Gaster Blaster. The dark beam sparking as it ripped through the air, hitting the skull in the forehead. The shull let go, and Error shortcutted back to the ground.
*“You a-a-a-a-are more determined than I t-t-t-t-thought, Classic.” Error boomed.
*“Ugh, would you stop calling me that!?” I shouted. Error just laughed.
*“I d-d-d-d-don’t understand w-w-w-w-w-why you resist, it is n-n-n-n-n-not you I am t-t-t-t-t-t-trying to destroy.” Error said, his voice echoing in my non existent ears.
*“I don’t know who you are, or what all of this is about, but I will not allow anyone to destroy anything for seemly no reason!” I let my voice get louder, and I launched a huge barrage of bones and my Gaster Blasters went insane. Bt right before my attack hit him, a light blinded all of us as the world went normal, time going back and colour returned. All I could hear is Error’s laugh fading away. Off to my left, Fell broke free of the strings and untied Ink. I ran over and made sure they were ok.
*“What the hell just happened?” I asked, catching my breath.
*“Well, you just meet Error, and now your meeting Ink.” Fell replied.
*“Gee, that helps.” I rolled my eyes, Fell laughed.
*“Ink, meet the legendary Classic Sans. Classic, this is Ink, creative master and protector of the AUs.” Fell said, Ink stepped up.
*“Ah yes, Classic. The original universe. I have heard so much about you, but it is nice to finally see you in person.” Ink smiled. Now that I have a good look at him, I noticed that one of Ink’s eyes is littery a star. He blinked, and the star turned into a diamond. That’s kinda trippy, not gonna lie.
*“It’s great to see another friendly face and all, but I am still really confused about all this. I only knew so little of the AU’s and now all of a sudden a crazy clone of myself tries to kill me!” I snapped a bit, Ink just held out a hand.
*“Come along with me, I’ll show you.” Ink beckoned. I was hesitant, but I took his hand anyway. Before I knew it, I was in a massive empty void. Me, Ink and even Fell was there. Then something assembled itself in the void, a kind castle overlooking a bright, colourful Underworld.
*“This is the creative realm, only Ink and Dream Sans can actually enter.” Fell said. Ink nodded slowly.
*“This is also the birthplace of all AU’s. Human artists dream, draw, and create brilliant and beautiful timelines and those ideas are sent here. Myself and Dream Sans go through them all, almost non stop to pick out the best ones. And then we use the power of creativity, and my paintbrush, and turn these AUs into reality. Then, the AU gets thrown somewhere into the multiverse, where it begins its timeline.” Ink explained. My mind was practically exploded with what I was seeing.
*“And, Error wants to destroy this?” I asked, stunned.
*“Indeed, he thinks that all the AU’s, all the humans time and effort, are mistakes. But they are not! As long as I and Dream still stands, we will do everything we can to prove him wrong.” Ink snapped, but then relaxed. Suddenly there was another flash of light and we were back at the Blacksite. Everything seems like out fight with Error did not happen.
*“So… noone will know about our right?” I asked.
*“Yes, time was frozen for that purpose. We did not change a think about your world. Now, if you excuse, I left Dream alone do deal with everything for too long. I must return and continue to help the AU process. Do not worry though, I have eyes into every universe. I will know when Error threatens you again, but I may not be able to come to your aid every time, so I’d keep my eye out for him if I were you.” Ink explained. Then he turned to Fell. *“Oh, and Fell, if you want me too I can take you and Fell Pap back to Underfell.” He said.
*“That’s nice of ya Ink, but I Fell like staying here. It is may better here. But if you see any of my friends, send them here, will ya?” Fell replied.
*“Very well, take care!” Ink waved as he entered his rainbow portal back to the creative realm.
“That was… something to say the least.” I said to Fell.
“Yeah well get used to it, vause it is gonna get worse from here.” Fell warned. I still did not fully understand it, but I guess I had to deal with it as it seems that it is not just a dream after all.
