"And those guys on the stilts! That was crazy!" Taylor was recounting the parade she and Tristan had just witnessed.
"Naw," said Tristan, "The go-karts. THAT was crazy!"
The "Founders' Parade" strayed further and further from its roots every year, but the kits weren't concerned about that. They always looked forward to the performers who always got the crowd going.
Tristan had hoisted his sister onto his shoulders so she could see everything over the other spectators. After the parade had finished, she never asked to be let down again and Tristan wasn't really bothered carrying her. In fact, he actually liked it. He would say it's silly, but it made him feel proud to be her big brother.
He ended up carrying her most of the day and on the way home.

Yeah, I'm one of those people who really like that sappy slice-of-life nonsense. I asked @microsoft to draw Tristan carrying Taylor on his shoulders. I didn't have anything really in mind for it when I asked. I just wanted something cute and heartwarming. Then I get blown away by this! The colors are simply amazing. And the background is a LOT more than I was expecting for what I paid.
