Aw, but that's exactly the thing I'm trying to combat! Of course, if you don't like vore at all, that's completely your right. I just wanted to float the possibility that maybe it's not vore you dislike, but some aspect of it. I know a lot of people don't like to see prey die, or be digested, or pooped out, or preds being violent to their prey. But none of that is intrinsic to vore. You may have gotten a bad view of vore because of that manga (and given what I've seen, I can completely understand), but that's not all vore is.
Any fetish can be interpreted many different ways, because virtually all fetishes are symbolic. They all represent the feelings the person gets from the fetish. For one person, vore might be about dominating another person so completely that you consume and excrete them. For another person, it might be about the idea of being surrounded by warm, moist flesh. For another person, it might be about wanting to be so close to someone that you actually merge with them. Vore can be brutal or loving, serious or silly, completely depending on what the fantasizer whats it to be.
