This is earlier in the night before that storm in the following BB code tags arrived. As seen from the shop, the stars are still visible while the storm not yet near. These songs play in the shop on an old car radio set up to a deep cycle battery (no utilities in this part of the Cunene Province), and wired to a car radio speaker magnetically held to metal fold-up chair. The distant radio station plays Angolan jazz along with a few Congolese rumba and Zimbabwean tunes;
Pic #2 shows the night sky being lit up on the horizon from the distant lightning.
You should try opening a 2nd tab to view the pics with the music. It really gives a cool effect...especially with pic #2 showing the flashing on the horizon. I opened a tab for each of the two pics. Then with a third tab playing the music from Sy Aardwolf's radio in the shop. I flipped-flopped between the two tabs with the pics to where it looked like the lightning was actually flashing while Sy Aardwolf's radio played. When you flash the lightning on and off that way, it looks so real...I also added cricket sounds from another tab with a night sounds Youtube video.
Easy Instructions;
Open 4 extra tabs. Then on each tab, log onto Inkbunny, then pull up this submission. You should now have a total of 5 tabs open with this same submission page displayed. The link below can be copied & pasted in the address bar of each of the 4 new tabs; https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=1356368
In the 1st tab, keep pic #1 displayed with the clear sky. In the 2nd tab, click on pic #2 with the lightning hazing on the horizon.
In the 5th tab, scroll to the 17 songs in the playlist above in this description. Then choose a song. Once you've chosen one, click the link to it then pause the video.
Next;
Align the pics in the 1st & 2nd tabs. This can be done by clicking the pics in each of the first two tabs to zoom them. Then click each of them once to normal size...That will get the pics in both tabs aligned in the same location on your screen.
Now go into the remaining three tabs that have the Youtube videos up and start all three videos. Crickets at night Lightning static Music selection While the sounds of videos play, open the 1st tab of the pic with the clear sky...Then open tab with the pick that has the lighting, then back to pick without the lightning, and flip-flop between the tabs with the two pics while the radio in the shop plays, the lightning is causing static crackle, and the crickets are singing outside. At about 3 minutes into the lightning static video, it sounds like another station signal trying to cut in.
If you keep the music and static turned down, and the cricket singing turned up a bit, it seems more real.
BTW. Songs #1, #2, #9, #14 and #16, go really great with it...The very best ones that go the most awesome with it are #9, #14 & #16 in my opinion.
If you go through the whole playlist, and listen to at least a portion of each song, with the song and lightning static turned down low, and the night cricket singing turned up a bit, while you are flashing the lightning between the two pics, it will begin to feel like you are actually right there in Sy Aardwolf's shop watching the lightning light up the sky...like how radio stations play one song after another. I know it began to feel that way when I tried it.
These are the following pics when that storm finally arrived. In this first one, the music broadcast has already been interrupted to issue a severe storm warning over the radio.
