Returning to their camp, Chris looked around at the quiet scene and let out a sigh, nodding with a quiet "good" before resting Rose against a log laying next to the remnants of the fire. Tossing more wood onto the pile, the fire slowly began returning while he went to the carriage and rummaged through their storage for things to clean Rose with. Taking out what was needed, he paused after standing when his eyes met the door. Deciding to check on the others, he quietly opened the carriage and took a peek, finding Alicia tangled in a clumsy coil while Serenity lay in an almost upside down manner within it, both unconscious making Chris show a smirk and let out an "aww" from the scene. Closing the door, he returned to Rose as she started to stir, a groan escaping her lips while slowly raising and rubbing her head. "Ah, back already?" he asked while setting his supplies down. Looking at him, Rose showed a dazed expression, tilting her head with an "eh?" before turning her head, scanning the area and finding they were back at camp. "You passed out at the end there. That whole Mega thing really takes it out of you girls, huh?" he asked, causing her to jolt and look at hr hands. "Sorry about that, when it comes to those stones I guess a fella really has to be careful. I didn't expect you to come into contact with them during the act like that, surprised me as much as it did you." he smiled nervously, Rose thinking back on what happened and showing a blush before hiding her face with her hands, letting out an embarrassed sound. "Who knew you had such a dominant side to you... I couldn't tell what was more surprising, the evolution or what you did after!" Chris laughed, the rabbit letting out a "shut up!!" kind of noise.

Unable to resist teasing the rabbit, Chris gave her nudges while talking to further frustrate Rose, leaving her hiding behind her ears in humiliation as he recapped everything she did after the evolution until he'd finally had his fill, coaxing her to stand before using his supplies to clean the fur they'd soiled. "You gonna be okay? I was just teasin' is all." he smiled, Rose looking back at him with a teary scowl as he cleaned her thighs. "If it makes you feel any better, I did enjoy it! I thought you were pretty hot!" he praised, causing her to flush again and face forward with a grumbling noise. "Ha ha... It's a first seein' you this way. Usually it's just Alicia who gets so frustrated and flustered when we do stuff... It's adorable." Chris chuckled. "Alright, you should be good to go now. Your fur feels fine and I don't see anything so, guess you're all clean!" he nodded before she looked herself over and tried looking behind her, feeling her fur before giving a nod of her own. "You know, I gotta say I did like the way you took the initiative there. You actually played around with the dominant role, that was pretty impressive! Usually you're the most submissive and stuff but when you want control you sure go all out. I know it's a weird thing to admire but, somehow I actually kinda respect what you did. Not bad at all Rose!" he praised, causing her to glance away with a small smile while fidgeting. "That's another thing I love about you. There's always this or that surprise when the time is right. When you battled for me, when you jumped in to stop Serenity on the ship, and just now when we were... Well... Lets just say you're one heck of a girl. Behind all that shyness and timidness there's a really incredible person! Though, I like those timid and shy parts too of course." he grinned while rubbing her on the head.

"You'd better get back to bed now though. Girls need their beauty sleep after all!" he instructed, causing Rose to tilt her head curiously. "Ah, no worries. I'll be in soon. I don't have anymore calls or texts or anything to respond to now. Might have more along the way tomorrow maybe but... I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I'm just gonna sit here and wait for the fire to die down again. After talking to so many folks it has my adrenaline kind of pumped up, on top of, well, you know... What we did..." he laughed nervously, Rose showing a blush and scratching her cheek shyly. "Watching the fire and sitting for a bit should have me ready to pass out in no time. Plus the light show above is kinda hypnotic too... I shouldn't be long, so you go on and get a head start." Chris smiled before squatting and placing his hand atop Rose's head again. "I know it sounds kinda weird, but I'm proud of the way you came out of your shell like that tonight. You're a pretty wild girl... Thanks for the excitement!" he smiled, making her do the same while looking down and fidgeting. "Come on, how about a goodnight hug, yeah?" he offered, the rabbit accepting and giving him a squeeze while he did the same to her. "I'll see you in a few. Try not to wake up the others though! The way they're sleeping is adorable." Chris chuckled as Rose jolt and turned to the carriage, showing a "whoops..." expression on her face while he walked her to the door. Carefully opening it, the two looked inside as he lift her up. "See? They look like best pals." he grinned, only for the rabbit to glance away with a nervous smile and a "yea--ah..." type of noise, noticing they'd luckily not caused any harm to the interior save for pillows and sheets strewn about from their tussling.

"You go ahead and rest, I'll be in soon." he assured, motioning for the rabbit to come close before giving her a kiss, making her blush and giggle before making her way under the sheets, popping her head out from the opposite side and waving. Nodding, Chris waved back and quietly shut the door before stretching his arms up, letting out a grunt and facing the fire. Raising his eyebrow, Chris let out a quiet "hmm" before smirking and turning his attention to their storage under the carriage, rummaging about until finding a bag and pulling it out with a grin. "Couldn't hurt to spoil myself a little!" he chuckled, locking the storage and returning to the fire. Reaching in the bag, he glanced back at the carriage warily and pulled out a package of marshmallows, letting out an "aw yeah" before taking a nearby stick in hand and placing several at the tip. Sitting with his legs crossed and his treat hovering over the fire, Chris started humming as the marshmallows began to swell and darken. Pulling them away, he started munching on the gooey snack before a Pidgey landed nearby, trotting up to the fire and ruffling its feathers. Looking at Chris, the Pokemon tilt its head, causing him to get a mischievous idea. Turning his face away, he took another bite of his marshmallows before suddenly turning to the small bird with a "BLARGH!!" noise and expression, the gooey treat giving him a rabies kind of look causing the Pidgey to shout with a wide eyed expression and flutter off in a panic, leaving him laughing as the bird nearly flew into a nearby branch. "Sorry about that!! Just kidding!!" Chris apologized as the Pokemon vanished. With a grin remaining on his face, he muttered "gonna get karma for that, but hey..." and added more treats to the end of his stick, humming again while enjoying his sneaky treat as the girls slept in the carriage.

Making his way through the pack of marshmallows, Chris started feeling a chill running up his spine, at first only once in a while, then more frequent until the chill was an almost constant sensation, leaving him shuddering despite how closely he inched to the fire. "Man, getting bad out here..." he muttered, taking out his dex and checking the temp. "Thing must be getting outta wack out here." he added, feeling as though it were far colder than what the dex displayed. Noticing the packaging was empty, Chris shrugged and tossed it along with the stick he'd been using into the remaining fire, watching both burn and turn to ash before shivering again. "Alright, I'm goin' to bed." he muttered, standing with a stretch and taking his staff in hand. Looking toward Rapidash, he nodded at the sleeping horse before putting out the fire altogether, turning toward the carriage and heading for the door only to pause when his hand touched the knob, another chill hitting him from behind, this time with a strange sound seemingly whispering as a breeze waft by. Jolting, he let out an "eh?" and looked around, letting a curious "hmm..." escape his lips with a wary look on his face before hearing the whisper once more. Tightening his grip on his staff, he held it in both hands in a slightly defensive stance, turning away from the carriage while continuing to scan the area. This time, the sound seemingly came from the right, making him glance in the direction before facing it with a stern look. "You callin' me?" he asked, looking up at his forehead, only to find silence his response. "Take that as a no." he muttered before the whispering waft by his ears again, this time like that of an airy echo without any direction to pinpoint.

Stepping away from the door, Chris started circling the carriage, warily scanning the surrounding area until he finally caught a glimpse of something in the corner of his eye. Turning in a jerky manner, he let out a grunt with his staff out, only to find nothing before something else caught his eye. Jerking himself in another direction, Chris grumbled from the eerie sensation, believing he'd caught sight of something glowing within the nearby trees only for any trace of it to vanish the moment he turned. Continuing to circle the carriage, it seemed as if the sounds and sightings had ceased, yet the moment he decided to reach toward the door a second time, the eerie noise returned, this time louder than before, albeit still in a whispering sort of tone. "Alright, who's there?" he asked, turning back around and scanning the trees. Gripping his staff again, he headed toward the woods in the direction the sound seemingly originated. "Maybe she's asleep..." he muttered, looking at his forehead. "Hope she doesn't mind." he added before holding his hand out and forming a large gathering of fire. Catching sight of the same glowing object he'd seen in the corner of his eye before, it suddenly shot behind one of the trees ahead of him, resulting in another wary yet stern look appearing on Chris's face. Carefully making his way along, the object shot from tree to tree as he progressed, making him jolt and jerk himself about to follow it each time, making sure it didn't try making its way toward the carriage as he tracked it down. Finally, the object stopped darting from place to place and remained behind a tree just ahead of him. Getting ready to go on the offense, Chris let out an "alright! come out!" warning before jumping in front of the tree, thrusting his hand out with the mass of fire gathered only to freeze upon landing, his eyes wide and color faded as the fire in his palm vanished in the breeze.

Floating before him, the object he'd been chasing was a small orb of light, now held in the hands of a Froslass which looked at him as silently as it appeared calm. "Y-Y-Y-Y..." Chris stuttered, sweat beginning to show on his face as he recognized the Pokemon from the local tributes and shrine. Continuing to look at him in silence, the Froslass turned its focus to his hand reaching out toward it, causing him to panic and quickly pull it away before bowing. "I-I-I'm sorry!!" he apologized. Keeping his head lowered, Chris feared what nearly attacking the Pokemon that could be the deity of the valley would cause. After a moment of silence, he remembered scaring off the Pidgey before the Pokemon appeared. Thinking that was the cause of seeing Froslass, he quickly raised up straight and apologized again. "I-I really didn't mean any harm!" he insisted, only for the Pokemon to continue looking at him silently. Feeling unnerved by its behavior, Chris let out a wary "uhh..." before relaxing slightly and glancing toward the direction of the carriage. "I-Is there... Anything that I or maybe... They did wrong?" he asked, Froslass tilting its head before looking in the direction he'd glanced and facing him once more. "I-If they did something, I'll take responsibility!" he insisted, bowing again. Still getting no response, he slowly raised up and scratched his cheek. "S-So... Um... S-Sorry for, you know... I-I'll be going?" he smiled nervously. Giving another apology, he turned only to see Froslass floating in front of him again. "E-Excuse me." he laughed with slight sweat on his face, turning again only to see the Pokemon already in the direction. "U-Uhh..." he muttered, turning a third time only to see Froslass yet again.

Feeling more and more unnerved, he looked around himself to see several copies of Froslass having surrounded him, each as identical as the last before they merged into a single Pokemon in front of him. "W-We did do something wrong, didn't we?" he asked before thinking back on the shrine. "I-If we damaged anything, I promise I'll get it fixed! D-Did we miss trash or something?" he panicked, only to watch as Froslass silently hovered backwards until she was at a slight distance from him. Holding the orb of light over its head, Chris tensed up and gripped his staff again, letting out a wary groan and wincing slightly thinking it was about to attack, only to find himself blinded by a sudden bright flash. Shouting and shielding his face, he tightly shut his eyes as the wind picked up around him, swirling around the area and pulling toward the Pokemon until it finally died down and ceased. Remaining still for a moment, Chris finally opened his eyes, letting out an "eh...?" before lowering his arms and looking himself over. "I-I'm okay?" he asked, looking toward where Froslass was. Seeing spots and sparks from the flash before, he squint and rubbed his eyes until he was finally able to see clearly. Looking toward Froslass again, the sight of the Pokemon caused him to grow still and wide eyed, standing in silence as it looked at him with the same silence. Now engulfed by what looked like a spirit of sorts, Chris saw something like that of a person, a woman to be exact, standing before him. Blinking in surprise, he rubbed his eyes thinking he was having a hallucination, only to see the woman continuing to stand in silence with Froslass floating within. Looking around, he wondered if it were a trick of sorts, jolting and gripping his staff when the mysterious being made its way toward him.

Strangely however, the woman didn't walk, but hovered just inches above the surface of the snow before stopping in front of him. With their faces close as can be, Chris gulped as the strange spirit looked at him. "U-Uhh..." he muttered, inching back and looking down at Froslass within the torso of the being before looking back at her face. Taking a moment to examine both, an expression as if a sudden idea came to mind revealed itself. Taking his Pokedex out, he brought up the Pokemon's various descriptions. "That's right... You're supposed to be..." he muttered, glancing up at the spirit before reading more. "Woman on a mountain... Yeah. Yeah! That's right! There was even that legend about it!" he recalled, looking at Froslass again, then the spirit surrounding it. "That means... This must be what you looked like before..." he muttered, finally getting a response in the form of a silent nod from Froslass and the spirit simultaneously. "I-I uh... Why though?" he asked, having a hard time figuring out whether he should look at Froslass or the face of its spirit. "I mean, did I do something wrong, or did they? You're supposed to be this big, mysterious deity right? Why show up out of nowhere... In front of me of all people? Don't you only show up when somebody does something bad?" he added. "I-I mean, I know I teased that Pidgey but, I didn't mean any harm." he insisted with a nervous smile. Getting no response, other than a silent stare, Chris felt himself growing uneasy again, tugging at his collar and clearing his throat before Froslass hovered in close again, making him tense up as the eyes of the spirit gazed into his once more. "Y-You're not gonna...?" he began to ask, remembering seeing something about the Pokemon eating souls of men.

Finally backing away, Froslass lowered her head and showed the smallest smile in a somehow reassuring manner, her eyes closed before turning and reaching her hand out, both the Pokemon and its spirit acting simultaneously as she point out a direction. "Eh?" Chris muttered, blinking curiously and tilting his head before looking in the direction it was suggesting. About to ask if something or someone was there, he was cut off when Froslass started hovering along the snow, leaving him standing before copies of the Pokemon appeared around him to insure he followed. "N-No choice huh?" he asked with a nervous laugh. "I-I didn't lock the carriage though." he added, looking in the direction of their camp, only for Froslass to stop and turn back to him with another small smile of reassurance. "Ngh..." he hesitated, only for the copies surrounding him to begin moving in the direction of their leader, insisting he start moving. "A-Alright, I'm coming." he agreed before making his way along, Froslass lowering her head a second time in a "good" or perhaps "thank you" manner before turning away and continuing along her path. With Chris now following accordingly, her copies vanished and allowed him to walk without the intimidation, making him feel more at ease, albeit still wary within as they made their way along. "N-Ninetales? Sense anything bad?" he asked in his mind, glancing up at his forehead only to be met with more silence from the fox. "C-Come on." he muttered, uncomfortable with her silence after talking so freely up to this point. Looking at the backs of Froslass and her spirit which engulfed her, he scratched his head in a puzzled manner before making his way up closer.

"S-So, uhh... Where is it we're headed exactly?" he asked, trying to show a smile only for the Pokemon to pause and slowly turn, reaching her arm out again to point toward a new direction. "That way next, huh?" he laughed nervously before she hovered along once more. Taking notice of the feint glow around her, there was something calming, yet at the same time eerie about the Pokemon leading him through the icy forest, pausing and pointing on occasion to instruct him on where they were heading next. As time went on, Chris couldn't help but feel as though he were on some kind of journey to the afterlife, being led about through the dark and frozen forest without a word from his guide save for the random gestures. Eventually, they finally stopped for the last time, standing before a massive wall of rock and ice that left Chris feeling smaller than a speck of dust while looking up at the mass of nature. "S-So, this is... Um... N-Nice?" he laughed nervously, at a loss as to what he was supposed to be doing or why. Looking around, he jolt when Froslass extended her arm once more, pointing at the wall causing Chris to show a bewildered expression in response. "Wh-Where else?" he asked, looking upward. "You mean... Climb?" he asked, looking at Froslass only for both she and her surrounding spirit to continue pointing directly ahead at the base of the wall itself. Letting out a nervous groan, Chris turned back to the wall before jolting when he felt the same sense of calling he'd been experiencing since nearing the border, causing him to look around before making his way up to the wall. Reaching out, he felt along its surface, leaning his ear against it and giving it a knock only to find it nothing more than your typical frozen stone.

"What am I supposed to do here exactly?" he asked, looking at the spirit for a moment before getting an idea and raising his hand, forming a mass of fire. "...Melt through?" he added, looking back at the spirit only for it to finally lower its hand and hover up to him. Lowering his hand as well as the fire vanished, he stepped aside and let Froslass make her way past. "So what's the deal?" he questioned, watching as she stopped before the wall. About to say more, he cut himself off when he noticed her mouth moving, seemingly speaking with her head lowered, though whether it was to herself or someone else was unclear. Watching her odd behavior, the Pokemon finally raised her head and hovered ever closer to the wall. "H-Hold up a sec!" Chris called out, only to pause while reaching toward her as Froslass vanished within the Earth before him, as if the wall wasn't there at all. Blinking in surprise, Chris walked back up and felt it over. "Okay... So what? Go home now?" he muttered, tapping the wall here and there and leaning his ear against it. After a moment, he was suddenly caught off guard when he tried pushing against the rock and ice when a portion of it vanished, sending him falling forward and landing before Froslass as she looked down at him. "U-Uhh... H-Hey?" he smiled nervously, seeing a long cave before him, dimly lit by the spirits glow revealing glistening ice jutting out like crystals from the rocky walls. Standing up, he looked around curiously before Froslass began to move, extending her hand and pointing down the cave. "Is this your home or something?" he asked, slightly starting to fear becoming food for the spirit again as she started floating down the passage.

Nonetheless, he gripped his staff and obediently followed with a nod, looking around at the crystalized walls surrounding him. Facing back, he noticed the entrance slowly vanish, sealing itself shut once more behind them preventing any further entry, and potentially escape making him let out a wary groan as they made their way along. Eventually, they finally reached another opening ahead of them, and passing through, it led into a massive chamber surrounded by smooth, transparent walls of ice. Above, there was a dome just as transparent, smooth and clear enough to see the aurora lights wafting in the sky, creating a dim variety of color throughout the chamber. Watching as Froslass finally came to a stop, she raised her head skyward and started seemingly speaking again, her mouth moving yet no sound escaping making Chris dig in his ear and hold his hand up to it. "...Okay." he muttered, deciding to feed his curiosity for the moment and examine the walls. However, once he grew near enough, his color faded when he saw humans lining them within. Though oddly enough, all of them were frozen in suspicious poses, some looking as if stalking, others holding weapons ranging from blades to actual guns, trapped in stances as if ready to attack. Thinking back on the local legends, they were likely the people caught by Froslass trying to rape and harm travelers going through the border, captured by the spirit just as they were about to carry out their deeds, with one man literally frozen in a stance of removing his belt as if standing over somebody and another frozen with the bullet from his gun caught in mid-flight. Clearly dead, Chris couldn't help saying "What a way to go..." as he looked at them all, many having been encased so long their bodies had gradually decomposed into a mummified state.

Unsure of exactly what to think of his discovery, nor how to process it, he finally turned his attention toward Froslass, only to find her spirit just inches from his face, staring right in his eyes causing him to jump with his back against the ice and shout in panic, noticing a mummified mans face right next to his within the wall making him shout again and stumble away onto the ground, letting out a groan and rubbing his backside from the landing. Looking up, Froslass stood gazing down at him before turning to her prisoners within the walls around them, silently browsing her gallery before facing Chris and pointing at him. Jolting, he quickly stood as she turned and point toward the center of the chamber. Looking at the Pokemon for a moment, he let out a wary groan before making his way to where she wanted, finding himself standing directly under the center of the dome above. "S-So what now?" he asked, watching as Froslass approached before lowering onto her knees close by. "U-Um..." Chris muttered as she lowered into a bowing position, noticing her mouth moving again without any sound. After a moment, he heard something happening from above and looked toward the dome to find it retracting, exposing the chamber to the sky. Gripping his staff again, he tensed up while watching the lights waft about. "N-Nice view?" Chris laughed nervously, looking at Froslass and finding her raising up with her hands toward the sky before bowing again, this behavior bewildering him all the more as she raised back up in the same manner a second time. Looking around, he noticed the lights reflecting on the walls increasing in intensity, the colors growing more vibrant before he looked at the sky and noticed the aurora lights changing their shapes above.

Growing more and more circular above him, the lights appeared like that of rings, a target of sorts high in the sky as Froslass continued to raise and bow, seemingly calling out or welcoming something. Growing more and more wary, he started inching away from his position, only for copies of Froslass to surround him. Noticing something beginning to shine in the center of the rings above, Chris started calling out to Ninetales in his mind, even trying to use her power only to find himself incapable of doing so. Beginning to panic, he stumbled and fell as the copies circling him grew closer, looking down before they all pointed at him. "Wh-What is this?! What do you want?!" he panicked, only for the copies to tilt their heads back and point towards the glowing object in the sky. Watching it grow larger and larger, it wasn't long before he realized something was falling toward the chamber. "H-Hey, hold on a sec!! Hey!!" he panicked, raising and trying to get away from whatever was falling, only for the copies to shove him back before freezing his feet to the ground. Trying to jerk himself free, Chris started shouting for aid, calling out Ninetales as the true Froslass continued to raise and bow, her copies backing away leaving the center of the chamber clear save for Chris, using his staff to try breaking the ice around his feet. Looking up, the object was rapidly approaching the chamber, turning out to be a super massive ball of fire, glowing with a strange white and blue tone to it, and just as he managed to break free of the ice trapping him in place, the object crashed down with a massive explosion, engulfing Chris as he screamed with his arms up. Thinking his end had come, he started repeating "Dead! I'm dead! Dead!" in a terrified state, keeping his face hidden.

Staying in this frozen state of terror for a moment, it wasn't until he heard a strange, almost whisper kind of voice calling out, saying his name several times until he warily opened an eye, letting out an "eh?" as he felt the blaze around him, yet at the same time didn't, allowing him to lower his arms and see nothing but the fire that had swallowed the chamber. With the Froslass having vanished, he looked at himself, appearing as if his body was burning as the blue and white flames rose from his clothing. Nonetheless, he felt no burns and his outfit remained unharmed, leaving him bewildered as he reached out and started trying to feel his way along as if within a dense fog. "H-Hello? Froslass? Anybody?!" he called out, only to suddenly hear his name whispered again. Continuing to walk around, he reached his staff out and waved it through the blaze, noticing it didn't show any signs of damage either. "C-Come on!! What is all this?! Ninetales?!" he called out, returning to where he thought they'd entered the chamber only to find another wall, likely from Froslass sealing the chamber itself as well. Suddenly hearing his name whispered again, Chris jolt and warily turned around, his eyes slowly widening as he saw a golden flame rising in the center of the blue and white inferno where it had first landed, taking its place as the heart of the blaze. Surprised by its appearance, he looked around at the rest of the fire and at himself again, noticing his clothes were still untouched despite still looking as if he were being scorched as the fire clung to his body. Taking a deep breath, he warily made his way to the center of the fire, watching the golden core as it grew before him.

Once he was mere steps from touching it, Chris used his staff to test whatever it was in front of him, inserting the bottom of it into the golden blaze for a moment, giving it a wave to see if the fire would catch hold only to pull his staff away and watch it vanish from his staff. "This is WAY beyond me..." he muttered, looking at the core as he heard his name whispered once more. Feeling somehow beckoned again, Chris took a deep breath with an "Alright..." as he reached out his hand and inched in closer, facing away slightly with his eyes squint as his hand touched the fire. Strangely enough, the moment he did this a magnificent flash erupt from the core, causing him to shout and stumble back from the startle before finding himself caught in a cyclone, the fire around him rapidly spiraling faster and faster as he struggled to stand until it abruptly vanished, almost as if somebody had blown it out like a candle, and as he looked around, Chris found himself awe stricken by the sight of the location the fire had taken him. No longer was he standing in a frozen chamber with criminals lining the walls, but instead it was as if he was standing within the sky itself, blue and pure with the whitest of clouds surrounding him, his feet atop a reflective surface like that of water. Looking around dumbfounded, he turned to see the golden flame floating before him, causing Chris to shake his head and let out a groan. "I MUST be tripping..." he muttered, looking down only to see more sky beneath him. "I'm dead... I'm just dead." he laughed nervously, mentioning "killed by an asteroid" as the events and scenery overwhelmed him. "You Are Not Dead..." he suddenly heard a deep, echoing voice respond.

Jolting, he looked around to see where the words came from, only to see the fire in the vast yet tranquil void he'd been spirited to. "I-Is it you...?" he asked, looking at the golden flame. "Yes, I Have Brought You Here." the golden blaze replied, letting off a feint glow with each word it spoke. "Creepy spirits and talking fire... I'm finally losing it..." Chris laughed nervously before clearing his throat with a nervous wave. "W-Well then! What can I do for you?" he asked. "I Would Like Only To Speak With You." the fire replied, causing Chris to blink with an "eh?" before scratching his cheek. "Picked a pretty weird time to talk to a fella... What's with all this? Where's that Froslass at? And uh..." he paused, looking the fire over. "Who or... What are you?" he asked. "Time Is Inconsequential To Me. There Is No Weird Time For I Am Time..." the fire replied. "That Which Brought You Here Is One Of Many Messengers In Your World Which Serve Me And Carry Out My Will..." it added, Chris tilting his head curiously. "So... You are...?" he asked, the fire remaining silent for a moment before finally responding with a simple "I Am, That I Am..." as his answer. "You are... What now?" Chris asked, blinking at the fire. "I Am The Father Of Your Father, And His Father Before Him. I Am The Beginning, The End. I Am All, And I Am Nothing. I Am Reality, The Universe. All That Is And Will Be. In A Sense, I Am Also You, For You And All Is That Of My Will." the fire explained. "Many Names Have Been Given To Me Throughout The Worlds And Realities I've Brought Forth. Some Call Me Truth, Some Call Me Father, My Most Common Title Is God, Though In Your World, Many Refer To Me As Arceus." the fire revealed.

His eyes widening more then ever before, Chris began to tremble while clinging to his staff in terror. "Wh-W-W..." he stuttered, inching back warily. "Wh-What do you want with me? H-Have I done something wrong?!" he panicked. "Y-Y-Y..." he stuttered again, tripping over his feet and falling back. "Y-You're THE G-G...?!!" he asked, pointing at the fire. "I Am, That I Am. And I Have Come To You." the fire affirmed, causing Chris to turn pale as a ghost. "I-I..." he replied before suddenly dropping his staff and bowing on all fours. "I-I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!! For whatever I did, really!!" he panicked. "H-Have I not done enough?! Did I forget something?! Someone?!" he asked, looking at the flame. "M-Money!! Is it how much I have?! Have I not given enough?! I'll give more, lots more, everything even!! Every penny!! I just need time!! I have plans!!" he affirmed, falling into a pleading state causing him to fail to hear the fire calling his name as he panicked. "I-I promise to do better!! I'll work harder!! I'll do WAY more for people!! I swear!!" he insisted as the fire continued trying to call his name. "Is it my relationship with the girls? I-I love them!! Honestly I do!! I know they're Pokemon b-but to me they're human too!!" he added, starting to apologize for being with multiple women as well. Finally, the flame grew impatient and let out an almighty "ENOUGH!!!" roar, the sky around Chris turning dark as lightening crashed and the wind knocked him back, making him shout in fear and cover his head with his face down. "NO MORE!!! CEASE AND LISTEN!!!" the fire commanded, causing Chris to panic with a terrified "Y-Y-Y-Yes sir!!" in response. After a moment, the sky around him returned to normal, going back to its tranquil state as the fire let out a sigh.

"Do Not Cower... That Is Not The Intent Of My Being Here. I Am Not Here To Punish You." it assured, reaching out with its wafting flames and brushing against Chris's body to reassure him. Feeling something like that of a soft touch, he paused for a moment before slowly raising and looking at the fire before him once more. "I-I'm not in trouble...?" Chris asked. "No." the fire responded. Taking a moment to collect himself, Chris sat back with a large sigh of relief, clutching his chest before nodding. "O-Okay then... So, I mean, y-you're THE guy. I mean, the BIG guy. THAT guy! Why... Come to someone like me? " he questioned. "I-I mean, I appreciate it! But... I'm kinda... Nobody, really... Why? Shouldn't you show up to, like, a pope or, nun or... Stuff like that?" he added, glancing away and rubbing his head uncomfortably. "I Appear Where And When I Choose, The One I Decide To Appear Before Is Also Inconsequential." the fire affirmed. "I Have Spoken To You Once Before, Have You Already Forgotten?" it asked before Chris was shown himself standing on the Guardian through the fire and looking at the sky when the spirits of the Arceanic passed on, hearing the same praise he'd heard that day echoing. "Th-That's right. So it really WAS you that said "well done" back then!" Chris point out before gasping. "I-I actually had HIM tell ME that..." he added, suddenly growing excited. "No way... S-So what's all this for then? I mean, you kinda really went out of your way to see me like this. Having that Froslass guide me here and all. I-If it's not about me being in trouble... I still gotta know why you wanted to see me of all people." he added. "Is It Not Normal For A Father To Pay His Child A Visit?" the fire asked, the statement catching Chris of guard.

"M-Me? Yours?" he asked in surprise, pointing at himself. "C-Come on. I'm no where NEAR worth that much!" he laughed nervously, waving his hand and brushing off God's words. "Not Worth Being My Child? All Are My Children. What Makes You Say That?" the fire asked. "W-Well, I mean..." Chris muttered. "Do You Reject Me?" the fire asked, causing Chris to jolt and panic. "N-No way!! Never!! I-I just mean I... I dunno..." he replied, glancing away. "I-I guess I kinda feel like I'm the one who should be." he answered. "You Mean Rejected? Do You Say That Because You Feel Your Earthly Parents Did?" the fire asked, making Chris show a look as though he'd been pierced. "Perhaps Because You Feel Your Grandfather Wasted His Life On You?" the fire added, making Chris look all the more somber with his head lowered. "Or Is It Because You Feel You Only Hurt Those Who Come Into Your Life And Cause Them Trouble?" the fire point out, making Chris sulk all the more. "I-I mean, there's just better and more important people you could talk to is all." he point out. Having a silent moment between them, Chris suddenly heard the fire let out a warm chuckle. "Wh-What?" he asked. "You Remind Me Greatly Of Another Child Of Mine..." the fire replied. "How We're Meeting Isn't Very Different Either... Even Your Appearance, With Your Robe And Your Staff, Harkens To Him." it added. "To who?" Chris replied, showing a puzzled look. "Long, Long Ago, In Another Reality I Brought Forth... Another World Not Too Unlike Your Own, I Came Down To Meet A Man Called Moses... He Had Little Faith In Himself As Well, Little Value. He Too Thought Meeting Him Was A Waste Of My Time." the fire explained.

"Though Your Lives And Stories Are Vastly Different, The Way We're Meeting Is Precisely The Same, As-Is The Way You're Speaking And Thinking Of Yourself. The Way You Question Me." it affirmed. "And Just As I Did For Him, I Will Explain To You Why I Have Come." the fire assured, Chris glancing away before nodding and listening. "In The Worlds I Create, I Place Things Which Are Sacred Within Them, Be It Living Things Or Relics, To Test Man And See Whether They Respect Me Enough To Respect That Which I Declare Forbidden. In The World I Mentioned, Long Before Moses, When Man First Began, There Was A Tree With Golden Fruit. In Your World, There Are Things Such As The Golden Tails Of The Very Being Which Cursed You..." the fire explained before Chris jolt and felt an odd sensation run through him, suddenly seeing Ninetales aura being pulled from his body before the fox sat with her head lowered in respect beside him. "When Man Either Respects Or Defiles That Which I Declare Forbidden, That Which Is Sacred, It Reveals To Me Their True Nature, Whether It Is Their Dedication Or Ignorance That Controls Them." the fire went on. "The Golden Fruit Which I Placed In The World I Mentioned Was Taken Against My Will, Thus I Punished The Ones Who Disobeyed Me. The Ninetales That Bound Herself To You Had Her Golden Tails Defiled, Thus You Were Cursed By Her..." it point out, the fox jolting slightly as Chris looked at her and the fire like a child learning atop a fathers lap. "The Problem With Making Living Things Sacred Is They Tend To Let Their Role And Status Get The Better Of Them And Act In A Manner That Goes Beyond My Intentions, Such As Placing Curses On Those That Are Irrelevant To A Crime." the fire lectured, Ninetales remaining silent.

"However, Through Her Mistake Brought On By Her Own Arrogance, Her Pride, I Have Found A New Child To Smile Upon... And For That Reason She Has Not Been Punished." it said in a somehow warm tone, the fox looking up and at Chris while he blinked at the flame and point at himself again. "Through You And Your Grandfather She Has Been Spared For Taking Her Role Too Far, And Has Found Salvation, Favor, In My Eyes Once Again. You Would Do Well To Remember This And The Humility To Be Gained From Such A Lesson." the fire point out, making the fox lower her head again. "Through You, She Has Gradually Learned To Accept And Favor Man, To Find The Worth All Have Within When One Is Willing To Open Their Eyes To More Than What Lies On The Surface, She Has Learned To Reflect, And For Teaching Her That, I Thank You." the fire praised, making Chris grin while scratching his cheek. "Heck, only thing I've done is whatever she wanted me to do. If she happened to start liking me along the way, I don't need any thanks for that." he replied. "Ninetales Is Not The Only Messenger You've Found A Way To Change For The Better..." the fire replied before showing Chris the group of Dusknoir from the Arceanic wreckage. "For One Hundred Years, These Shepherds Of Souls Failed In Their Duties Because Of Their Own Arrogance As Well. Having Served So Many, They Grew Proud Of Themselves And Indifferent Over Time To Those They Were Meant To Help. Hardened And Distant, They Turned To Neglect And Abuse To Guide Those Who Were Lost, Using Intimidation And Fear To Make Their Tasks Quicker. No Longer Treating Souls As Individuals But Instead Mere Names On A List Needing Gathered..." the fire point out.

"Finally, They Completely Succumbed To Their Arrogance And Went Beyond My Will, Imprisoning Innocents And Abusing The Very Souls They Were Tasked To Care For, Abandoning Their Roles As Shepherds To Laze About While Treating The Souls They'd Captured Like That Of Mere Swine..." the fire point out while showing the Dusknoir mistreating the souls and Smith. "Yet Through You, They Were Able To Redeem Themselves, Meaning You Saved Not Only The Souls My Own Shepherds Were Meant To Tend To, But They Too Were Saved From What They'd Become. The Beings Which Serve Me On High Are Being Humbled And Bettered By A Mortal Man..." it praised, making Chris smile from ear to ear. "J-Just doing what's right is all sir. Anyone needs help, it's what I'm here for." he replied, waving it off again. "You Not Only Helped Those Souls Pass On, But You Helped Those Seeking Their Own Redemption Find A Place On This Earth, And Not Only That, You Helped Them Find A Way For Them To Atone In My Eyes That Brings Them Great Joy..." the fire continued, revealing to Chris the souls of the Arceanic busily helping out those in the hospital where Rostron and his crew were with eager looks and smiles on their faces. "Sh-Shoot... It's what they wanted to do. I just convinced the Dusknoir to let a few stay behind is all! They decided all that stuff on their own." Chris insisted, scratching his cheek with a shy smile. Finding another silent moment forming between them, Chris started looking around in a nervous manner, unsure of what to say or how to fully process meeting the figure before him. "You Truly Are Like Moses..." the fire finally spoke up, making Chris jolt with an "Eh?" in response.

"You Know... Moses... He Never Knew His Earthly Parents Either." the fire revealed. "When He Was But A Baby, His Mother Had To Give Up Her Child So That He Might Live To Grow Old, In Safety And Happiness..." the fire went on, showing Chris the silhouette of a woman placing her baby in a basket and sending it down a river. "Just As She Gave Up Her Child So That He Might Live To See Another Day, So Too Did Your Parents Leave You So That You Might Do The Same..." it point out, making Chris's eyes widen. "When You Were A Child, You Were In Danger So Often Your Earthly Parents Feared For Your Safety. What You Mistook As Frustration Was That Of Concern. They Feared For Your Well Being, And Through Their Humility They Realized They Had Not What Was Necessary To Insure You Were Prepared For The Life Ahead Of You. Through Their Sorrow And Guilt, They Left The Task Of Raising You To Those They Knew Would Ready You Most For What Lies Ahead. They Were Willing To Put You, Their Child, Before Their Own Pride And Confess That Another Would Be More Capable Than Them Of Raising You..." the fire revealed, showing Chris the silhouette of another woman sobbing in the fire. "For Days, Leading Into Weeks, To Months... To This Very Day, Tears Of Sorrow Fall From The Eyes Of Those Who Had To Leave You To Insure You Would Live." it point out, showing the silhouette of a man walking up to the woman and holding her before the scene showed them writing letters. "As You Have Lived And Grown, They Have Kept a Constant Eye On You, Through Letters And Videos Shared Between Them And Your Grandfather, They have Been Filled With Joy And Pride Because Of The Man You've Become Today Thanks To Those They Entrusted You To." the fire affirmed.

Watching the scene change again, it showed the couple holding each other while standing in front of a TV, watching what appeared to be news broadcasts. "To This Day They Watch You, They Hear Of Your Deeds And Sing Your Praises. Though They Still Weep In Grief From Giving You To Others To Raise, So Too Do They Weep With Pride And Joy Because Of All That You Do. Your Earthly Parents Love And Care For You More Than You Ever Realized. More Than You Will Ever Realize. Never Forget This." the fire affirmed as Chris started hicking and lowering his head, Ninetales looking at him silently before glancing away. "Look At Me..." the fire ordered, Chris letting out a sniffle before looking at the fire with tears streaming. "You May Not Know Me, But I Know Everything About You... I Am Familiar With All Your Ways." the fire affirmed while part of it reached out to Chris and touched his face. "You Were Not A Mistake. My Plan For Your Future Has Always Been Filled With Hope. You Are My Treasured Possession, Like All Who Are Born In This, Or Any World." it went on in a soft voice. "I Am Your Greatest Encourager, The Father Who Will Comfort You In All Your Troubles, And I Want To Show You Great And Marvelous Things." it added. "From Now On, When You Are Brokenhearted, I Too Will be Close To You. As A Shepherd Carries A Lamb, I Will Carry You Close To My Heart. And One Day, I Will Wipe Every Tear From Your Eyes, I Will Take Away All The Pain You've Suffered On This Earth." it assured as Chris used his sleeve to wipe his eyes. "You Are Fearfully And Wonderfully Made, As Are All My Children. I Knit You Together And Brought You Forth On The Day You Were Born." it went on. "I Have Been Misrepresented By Many Throughout History. I Am Not Distant Nor' Angry. I Am Not Counting Your Sins. Rather, I Am The Complete Expression Of Love. And It Is My Desire To Lavish My Love On You." the flame echoed. "The Reason Why I Come To You Need Not Be Explained. I Say This Simply Because You Are My Child, And I Am Your Father. Who You Are, The Status You May Hold On This Earth, That Does Not Matter. All Are Equal In My Eyes And You Are As Worthy As Any Other In This World Of My Affection." it finished in a tender voice.

"Now... Stand Before Me, With Your Staff In Hand." the fire ordered, Chris nodding and doing as told. "Now, hold it out." it added, Chris once again obeying. "Throughout Your Life, You Have Been Blessed With The Love And Knowledge Of Countless People. You Have Been Given Wealth Beyond The Wildest Dreams Of Many, Yet Rather Than On Yourself, You Have Dedicated Your Life To Spending It On The Needs Of Others. Through Ninetales You've Performed Miracles That Have Protected And Saved The Souls Of The Living And The Dead Alike. Yet No Matter Your Riches, No Matter The Feats You Accomplish, You Maintain Your Humility, You Take Not The Credit Of All That You Have And Do, But Instead Attribute It To Others. You Treat Man And Pokemon With The Same Equality That I Too Strive For. I Do Not Condemn You For Your Bonds With The Pokemon By Your Side, But Rather I Am Filled With Joy And Pride For The Love And Support You Have For Them. Long Ago This Was The Way Of The World In Which You Live. Man And Pokemon Began As Beings That Lived Together, Loved Together... Do Not Feel Shame, Nor' Regret For What You And Those By Your Side Have. Your Family Is One That Reminds Me Of An Age Long Past, Cherish It." the fire affirmed as Ninetales watched. "You Do So Much For Others, And Along Your Journey, You have Been Blessed With Gifts From Those You've Brought Hope To, Those You've Helped, Treasures Many Would Likely Consider Mere Trinkets, Yet Despite Your Wealth You Respect Those Gifts Every Day By Donning Them Proudly And Keeping Them Close. The Robe Which You Were Given For Saving The Unborn. The Medal Given For Saving The Lives Of The Living And Deceased..." the fire point out.

"How Easy It Would Be For You To Replace Them, Yet At The Start Of Each Day You Don Your Gifts With The Same Pride And Appreciation As The Last. When You Find Shelter, You hang On High The Banner Made By Those Who Love You So, The Figures To Remind You Of The Events Which Shaped Your Family, You Line On The Mantle..." the fire began to list, showing Chris scenes of him putting on his coat and putting the banner and statues from the party back at Arthur and Angela's mansion in their rooms. "Those Who Have As Much As You More Often Than Not Think So Little Of Such Rewards, Yet You Defy The Norm... These Simple Moments You Fail To Think About Are Some That Make Me The Proudest." the fire said in an endearing voice, Ninetales showing a small smile. "You Were Given A Life Without Answers To Many Things, One With A Path Determined For You Many Would Fail To Follow, Nearly Impossible To Take For A Man, Yet Still You've Lived With Your Head Held High And Your Best Foot Forward. You've Made The Best Of Otherwise The Worst Of Situations And Smiled When Others Could Not." it praised as Chris scratched his nose with a shy yet flattered smile of his own. "The Staff You Now Hold Before Me, You Could have Used Your Wealth To Buy Such A Thing, Yet Instead You Took A Mere Stick On The Road In Hand And Found Potential Others Were Blind To." the fire point out while showing the scene of him finding the branch and sculpting it. "You Molded It Into A Work Of Art, One Sturdy Enough To See You Through Your Travels Through Thick And Thin, Donning It With The Treasures Gifted To You And Topping It With That Which You Cherish Most." the fire point out as Chris looked his staff over. "And Now, For One So Humble, No Matter How Countless His Blessings, For One Who Gives So Much, For One That Has Given Me Reason To Come Down From On High, I Have Another Treasure For You To Add To That Staff." the fire chuckled, Chris jolting with an "eh?" and blinking in surprise.

"Y-YOU wanna give ME something? S-Seriously?!" Chris asked. "Y-You don't have to do that! Really! I-I'm just happy to have you talking to me! I-I mean, you're YOU after all!" he panicked with a nervous smile. "This Is A Gift Of Protection." the fire replied, making Chris pause. "P-Protection...?" he asked, looking at Ninetales. "The Path Ahead Of You Is One Full Of Many Joys, But Also Many Dangers. There Will Be Times That Even She, With All Her Power, Won't Be Enough. When These Moments Arise, I Will Be With You." the fire explained. "Now, Grip Your Staff Tightly." the fire ordered, Chris letting out a wary "uhh..." before nodding and doing as told. Wincing slightly, he stood as the fire suddenly erupt in front of him, causing Chris to jolt before a powerful blast shot from the blaze and smashed into his staff, knocking Chris back before he regained his footing and struggled to hold his staff out. Doing his best to keep still, the powerful blast finally ceased and the flames vanished, leaving Chris standing in a defensive stance with his staff out until he finally opened an eye with a confused "eh?" and looked around, the golden fire before him having returned to its calm state. Tilting his head, Chris looked himself over curiously before examining his staff, finding a new golden medallion having been scorched into his staff, firmly and securely in place. "Wo---oah..." Chris muttered, feeling its smooth and glistening surface. "This looks like..." he added, looking at the flame. "That Is My Insignia In Your World, The Symbol Of That Which I Am, The Sign Of Arceus." the fire explained. "In Your World, I Am Known By That Symbol. In The World Of Moses, I Am Often Known By That Of A Cross." it added.

"Th-This is amazing..." Chris replied, looking at the medallion. "R-Really? For me and stuff? No foolin'?" he asked. "When You Hold That Staff In Your Hand, Know That I Have Always Been, And Always Will Be, By The Side Of You And Those Who Journey With You, Watching And Protecting." the flame assured. "There Are Others In Your World Who Hold This Same Medallion, But Few And Far Between Are The Ones That Come Directly From Me... Cherish It Well." it ordered. "I-I will!! I-I mean, y-yes sir!!" Chris replied with an eager nod and a solute. "Th-Thank you!!" he added. "From Here On, Know That You Were Never Forsaken, But Instead That You Were, And Always Will Be Blessed, Beloved. Cherished By Your Earthly Parents, And By Those Who Watch You From On High..." it assured. "My Own Son Is Quite Taken With You As Well." the fire added with another chuckle, the remark leaving Chris curious. "Who's that?" he asked. "That's Right, Those In Your World Are Unfamiliar With Him... One Day, You Will Learn When Your Time Comes." the fire answered, Chris tilting his head and looking at Ninetales, the fox remaining silent. "Know That All Of Your Deeds And Sacrifices Are Being Watched By Many, On This Earth And Beyond..." it point out before showing scenes of Chris's life within the flame, from back when he took care of the elders in his village to when he first met each of the girls, the moment he saved Arthur after his heart attack and revealing him leaping from the cliff when the Houndoom attacked, giving Serenity his vision and saving the eggs at the Pokemon Center, taking a truck head on and more. Scene after scene, the fire went over everything Chris and the girls had done that had been watched, his ear to ear smile returning as the scenes faded away and the fire started reaching out to him.

"Never Forget Your Humility, No Matter The Deeds You Do On This Earth. Be Not Afraid To Show Pride In Your Accomplishments Either. Know To Balance These Feelings, And Use Them To Help Guide You Forward. Continue Making Those By Your Side And Those You Will Meet Full Of Hope And Joy. Continue To Bless Those Who Need It As You Have Been Blessed. And Know That You Will Always Have Me And Those Who Love You On This Earth Beside You, No Matter The Situation." the fire assured, wafting around Chris. "We Will Meet Again, Of That You Can Be Certain. Until Then... Farewell..." the fire echoed, causing him to jolt as the void around them began to spiral. "H-Hold up!!" Chris panicked as the wind picked up. "I-I still wanna ask stuff!! Hang on!!" he shout as everything around him was engulfed by the blue and white inferno from before. Trying to call out to the fire, Chris found himself suddenly dropping onto an icy surface, the fiery vortex around him tightly gathering before it engulfed the golden flame, revealing he was back in the chamber Froslass had brought him to. "Farewell..." the flame repeat before suddenly rocketing out of the chamber, soaring through the dome as Chris shout out with another "wait!!" and his hand extended. Watching the light vanish beyond the lights and the stars above, the aurora trails slowly returned to their normal, wafting patterns as Chris stood with his hand up. "...Wait." he muttered, slowly lowering his hand as the dome sealed itself shut above him. Standing in silence for a moment, he kept his gaze on the dome, watching the lights wafting until finally lowering his head. Glancing at his staff, he examined the medallion he'd been given once more, feeling its surface before showing a small smile.

Looking around, Ninetales was still sitting and looking at him, yet before he could speak, she walked up with a smirk of her own and vanished within him. Nearby, he saw Froslass standing with a smile of her own, both she and her spirit around her showing a smile as well while lowering their heads. Reaching out, she unsealed the chamber, granting Chris his leave. Looking at her for a moment, he bowed to the Pokemon with a "thank you..." before heading into the cave, looking back as she remained behind and gave him a silent wave before sealing off the chamber behind him. In the far distance ahead, he could see rays of light shining in from the exit, making the crystals around him dimly glisten as he made his way along. Once he managed to reach the end of the tunnel, Chris took a deep breath and stepped out before watching the cave vanish behind him, almost as if it were never there with nothing but the wall in its place. Reaching out, he felt it over where the cave was and showed a smile, turning and looking at the sky again. "Now THAT... Was awesome..." he chuckled. "I-I actually met him... HIM!! No way..." he muttered, thinking back on what had just happened and everything he'd been told "My parents... Proud of me? No foolin'?" he asked, touching the medallion's surface. "All those years... They really cared...?" he added. "That's right, they can see me on TV now too... Wadaya know, my folks are watching me!" he laughed. "My folks, people all over the world... Even people way up THERE!" he added excitedly. "They're proud of me... They're really proud of me..." he sniffed, going through the motions while wiping his eyes, gripping his staff and grinning again, feeling an incredible spark within him.

"Proud of me... Proud of me...!!" he repeat, his body and staff trembling as Ninetales power started circling around him, and all of a sudden, with everything he had, Chris sent himself rocketing into the skies above with a blazing trail of fire behind him. "THEY"RE PROUD OF ME!!!" he laughed excitedly, blasting his way through the colorful lights with tears streaming from his eyes. "I love you!!" he shout towards the sky. "I-I love you!! I love Ninetales!! I love Serenity, Rose, Alicia, everybody!!" he added as he spun and spiraled all over the night sky, a radiant trail of power left behind him as he shot like a comet. Blasting through trail after trail of lights, Chris was like a bullet as he soared over the mountains and forests, lowering enough to rocket through the trees. Haphazardly passing the Ursaring from before, he nearly knocked the bear out of its tree from the blast of wind following him, causing the Pokemon to panic and cling to the trunk before waving its paw and shouting in agitation from the rude awakening, only for Chris to look back and shout "I love you!!" making the Pokemon jolt and blink in a bewildered state, thinking Chris had lost his mind. Landing atop the boulder he'd been on when Rose found him, Chris used it like that of a spring board and launched himself back into the sky, spinning and spiraling once more as his feel-good vibes practically burst from his body. Using his hand and staff, Chris started shooting blasts of energy all over the night sky, creating a spectacular show with a thrilled grin on his face. "I love EVERYTHING!!" he shout before letting himself suddenly free fall with his arms out. Down below, having heard the commotion in the sky, the girls came out from the carriage to see what was happening.

Looking up groggy eyed and agitated, their expressions suddenly changed when they saw Chris falling toward them, suddenly panicking before he abruptly stopped in mid-air before them, a wide grin on his face as they blinked bewildered in defensive stances. "I love you!" he exclaimed before grabbing each and giving them a kiss right on the mouth, making each of their eyes widen and flushes appear before he rocketed back into the sky. Frozen in surprise, the girls shook off the sudden kisses and looked at one another, each of them at a loss as to what was happening as they watched Chris unleash another light show high in the skies above them. Eventually, he finally returned to their campsite, landing with a blast of energy as the girls shielded themselves from the flying snow. Rushing up, he started excitedly explaining what had happened to him, showing off the medallion he'd received and overwhelming them as he paced around, his energy so high the girls had a hard time processing his story and handling his random enthusiasm so late into the night...

Pokemon - Tale Of The Guardian Master - CH 128
Pokemon - Tale Of The Guardian Master - CH 131
Some time ago, a young man named Chris, now 23, discovered he was chosen to carry a curse passed onto him through his bloodline by a Ninetales his grandfather saved long ago, having grabbed its sacred tails to save it from falling to its demise. Burdened with this fate, which the young man now calls a blessing, Chris accepts the life chosen for him and allows the curse to guide him freely in life, destined to forever put others before himself, to forever follow the path the curse guides him along towards those in need most...

Along his journey thus far, Chris has come across a Ralts who was abandoned by her former trainer for being blind, hurled off the edge of a cliff and left to die that has since evolved into a full fledged Gardevoir by his side, swearing her life to the young man with the mysterious and terrifying ability to use the power of a Shadow Pokemon, granting her the title of a mysterious new Shadow Hybrid... Also traveling by his side is a Snivy who has since become a Servine, abandoned by her former trainer for refusing to evolve after a terrifying battle she had with a Serperior that left her mentally scarred, resulting in her former trainer neglecting and starving her in an attempt to persuade her to evolve, until he finally left her to die as well followed by a Buneary who has since evolved into Lopunny, who's former trainer became enraged due to her refusal to battle and tried to kill her off when he discovered she could only evolve via friendship...

Chris has met many people and Pokemon alike along his journey, each left as inspired by his presence as the last... He's nearly sacrificed himself to save Gardevoir and Servine from a deadly attack by a pack of Houndoom, lead by a Mega formed leader by hurling himself off a cliff to catch the two and nearly dying... Resulting in his lengthy stay in a location called Millennium City where he provided a hospital full of children an awe inspiring play room full of wonders any child would adore... Saved thousands of Pokemon eggs from dying out when their colossal incubation system malfunctioned in one of the cities many centers, and it's the location he saved Lopunny when she was a Buneary from being struck by a massive truck after being hurled into the highway by her former trainer... He's met and inspired a kindhearted old butler named Gerald who served the group during their stay in the city, and even came across the mysterious N from the Pokemon series, inspiring even this strange person during his stay in the city resulting in Chris being deemed a man worthy of keeping an eye on...

Most recently, Chris had become a criminal during his efforts to free Lopunny from her former trainer altogether, having forced his way into the city's top prison the man was held within and taking not only the Pokeball belonging to Lopunny, but taking all of his other Pokeballs to free the Pokemon within them as well only to discover the mans father was the Warden of that very prison in the process. Finding himself intrigued by Chris, the Warden gave him a chance to avoid prison time by revealing he was also the city's Gym Leader, striking a deal that if he won he would be pardoned of all crimes and allowed to leave the city.

Before the day of the match arrived, Chris found himself becoming close friends with the city's top scientist, Professor Rose, and together along with her staff they managed to complete Project Celebi, a device that could transplant sight between two people without surgery! The project turned out to be a success after Chris offered the sight in his left eye to give Gardevoir the ability to see the world for the first time via her right!

After this, the time for his showdown with the Warden arrived, and after a lengthy two part battle, Chris turned out the victor with the support of all those attending the event and beyond... To thank them for fighting for his sake, Chris gave Gardevoir, Servine, and Lopunny their own unique names, gaining the titles Serenity, Alicia, and Rose respectively, with Lopunny being named after the professor who had done so much for the group during their stay in the city...

After regaining his freedom, Chris and the girls spent a week at Arthur and Angela's massive manor on the outskirts of the city, followed by a first class cruise aboard the brand new S.S. Guardian, the first pollutant free ship in the world relying solely on solar power reservoirs! With its maiden voyage celebrating the 100th anniversary of the loss of the R.M.S. Arceanic, fate played its hand along their way to Arcticu Valley and led the Guardian to the exact location of the ships wreckage. Attacked by a massive Gyarados swarm, the Guardian was sank to the bottom of the sea, protected by a barrier crafted by Serenity which resulted in the discovery of the remains of the legendary ship.

In turn, many truths came to light in the dark depths, and after garnering the aid of the souls aboard the remains of the vessel, the Guardian managed to return to the surface of the sea once more and the Gyarados were defeated! Criminals were justly punished, a company was repossessed, and Chris was given total ownership of the entirety of the Arceanic wreck site! And now, they've finally arrived at their destination, and many more adventures are about to unfold...

Looking on as the young human had finished his conversation with Arceus, The fox then glanced over as his follow god made a big show of his departure only moments after to reappear by the side of the fox, who welcomed the golden fire. The two then looked back as suddenly Chris took to the sky like a firework, Alex then saying with something of a chuckle,

“Well now you sure lit a fire in him.”

The golden flame that was his companion made something akin to a nodding motion then said,

“It has been a long time coming, I'm glad we could have this moment, he deserves nothing less.”

Alex nodded Arceus then saying,

“And thank you for this chance to speak to him, as we both know our power can be harmful when a mortal is exposed to it so bluntly.”

The fox nods then says patting him on his back,

“Not a problem my friend why do you think i live in this white cloak, we gods have to help each other out when needed, just because I'm better at interacting with mortals doesn't make you any less then what we are.”

Watching the young man rocket over to his camp site only to take off again Arceus then said,

“Well I believe I must take my leave, I've taken up enough of your time, and I have other things that need my attention.”

The Fox nods watching as the fire then blinked away, then grinning when he saw Chris try to explain what just happened to him to the girls.

Alex took a few moments after that, making sure no one was around before he said turning to the forth wall,

“If only I could get a chance to meet him up close, now then, again I feel I must apologize to you Modest, Wolf surely has no self control, yet again sticking his pen in another writers story.”

With something of a laugh the fox then says,

“Still, I can see why, this story of yours, it is a good one and the character you've created is interesting to say the least, I've enjoyed watching him so far. Now I know I have no right to ask this, this world is your creation, but I would love to help in it, even if a brief cameo, but i'll not push it, i'm sure Wolf must be driving you nuts with this himself, surely you do need need me on you as well, still,”

The fox stops for a moment to look up into the sky at the bright star he had created for the young man, then proceeds to ask,

“Think you would allow him to notice the star I made for him? I spent a whole . . . five seconds making that and trust me,”

He stopped for a moment making another star in the blink of an eye, then saying,

"Five seconds is a lot when it comes to me making things"

The fox smiles then snuffs out the star gives a bow then saying as he got ready to leave,

“Well I'll take my leave so that Wolf will be forced to take his pen out of your story . . . . again.”

With something of a embarrassed sigh, the fox opened a portal of sorts then proceeded to step through, leaving not but the sounds of the once again silent forest in his wake.

Awesome Chapter. Nearly every chapter since Froslass was mentioned I expected her to show up and finally she made her appearance. No wonder it took a while till she came in contact with Chris considered what happened here. And what she had to show him was totally unexpected. I didn’t expect to see God/Arceus ever again. And Chris manages to annoy him immediately. lol
What kind of event did you came up with for the end that Chris will need his help?!
Wait a moment… was this Arceus response to Chris prayer back at the shrine a few chapters ago?

"I-I'm not in trouble...?" Chris asked. If Chris manages to do something so bad that God has to punish him personally, that would be an enormous achievement! Albeit one of the worst achievements possible.
"Is It Not Normal For A Father To Pay His Child A Visit?" Does that mean he visits everyone at least once in their lifetime? Or is it true that parents even God has favorite children? xD

While we got some information about what Chris parents thought and think of him, we still got no information about their looks. It’s just a small observation though, I mean Arceus can’t spoil everything for us. I also hope that some day Chris himself tells us more about his childhood, especially specific events that led him to think about his parents the way he did. We know roughly what happened, but telling one or two detailed events while he was living with his parents would be nice. For example how could he end up injured by Pokemon he wanted to help?
Maybe a small spinoff chapter for the young Chris? No wait, a prequel story for all main characters would be awesome. (I already mentioned it a few times how I would like to know what the girls did prior to their time with a trainer.)

Is the road they take to the Aurora festival that dangerous? I mean petty criminals wouldn’t end up forever frozen in a cave. Especially not if a servant of the almighty caught them. Hmm… although we don’t know how big the area is that Froslass has to protect.
Anyways the whole chamber scene and what followed it was great written, easy to visualize what is happening there, that too is something I love about TOTGM and your writing skills.

Too bad you missed out on something. It would have been interesting what God had to say about his name. Not sure if the origin of his name is the same in TOTGM, but (depending on the source) “Chris” comes from “christianus” which is Latin for Christian and from christos which is ancient Greek for the consecrated or the Anointed One. It is not just the short form of Christ… God even mentioned his son in this chapter.

Two final things.
Your journal asking about feedback to this chapter in mind. I don’t mind some similarities to real-world religion in TOTGM, it gives everything a bit of a mystical touch. But please don’t lose your focus on the main story now. As you mentioned you have noticed the potential to add some religious stuff toward the end of the Ocean Adventure Saga. And because it was this late in the story I hope you don’t start going full religious at the end now. Some references here and there are nice, but I hope –and that is an exaggeration- you won’t start creating a reproduction of Bible stories.

The other thing is. I love how you can give me a teary eye with happy and joyful moments, not just with sad moments. It was touching how happy Chris was while he was flying around. His happiness is contagious here. Creating sad moments is hard enough, but creating joyful moments with a similar impact is probably even harder and this chapter managed to pull it off. Thanks for this happy moment.
