Designed as a part of a competition of for a new assault rifle for the US military, the HK XM8 was ultimately unsuccessful in its bid to replace the M16 in American service. However, the rifle has seen use with the Royal Malaysian Navy.

(Clearing out some old YCHs which hadn't sold.)
