A massively old reference to Arbon's sword, and one of the first things I've drawn digitally. The colors are terrible, the shape is a little bland, but it's at least recognizable as a sword. If it weren't for my promise, I'd have deleted this from Deviantart rather than try posting it everywhere else. With the benefit of age and hindsight I am not proud of this one.

what does the writing  on the sword translate to?

Ah, it's Chinese writing that translates literally to "Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain" and is a reference to Sun Tzu's art of war scripts. "as swift as wind, as silent as forest, as fierce as fire, as unshakable as mountain."
