2BIT is a sky blue fox from a special pocket dimension. This realm, known as Byte Space, has a strange, digitized look to it, but it is more of a cosmic place where the denizens monitor and manage the destinies of various other dimensions within the multiverse. They are largely offshoots of other "prime" universes that fall out of Byte Space's jurisdiction, but that doesn't make the job any less demanding. So, in order to manage, 2BIT split his own psyche into several other beings, able to help him carry out his duties in several places at once. They form up a team known as "BIT Squad."
With 2BIT still out on his journey, 16BIT decided to take it upon himself to spread some Valentine's Day magic as February 14th approached. BIT Squad just so happened to have a magic, invisible bow imbued with the power to make those shot by its energy darts fall in love...temporarily. Only if they were truly compatible would the spell take hold permanently. Normally 2BIT would handle this along with a particular assistant, who was on hand to join 16BIT. It was a yellow-furred female fox, wearing jeans and a light blue tank top. She was 4BIT, the only female member of BIT Squad. "Okay... The job's pretty simple. I pick the girl, you pick the boy, and we watch the results." 4BIT explained to 16BIT once they'd arrived in the universe of GeneX Prime. 16BIT flitted around holding the bow, a cheerful gleam in his eye. "We're gonna make so many people happy! Let's go, let's go! Wait, so, they can't see me while I hold the bow, right?" he asked. "That's right, but don't get too loud. We don't wanna spook them..." 4BIT sighed. 16BIT got really excited as he spotted a few people ahead. First, they saw Sonic, Amy and Tails standing by a street corner. "Alright! This'll be easy! I know which ones to hit here!" 16BIT said, drawing back his bow hastily. "Wait, we're supposed to talk first!" 4BIT shouted. However, a pair of darts went flying right away, and struck two of the group. "Ooops... I think you messed up my shot. Well, happy is happy, right?" 16BIT grinned as Amy and Tails turned to each other, their eyes widening and blushes crossing their faces. "...Tails? Amy? What's with you two?" Sonic asked. "Y-you're very pretty today, Amy..." Tails said shyly. "I never noticed how cute you are, too, Tails... Wanna ditch Sonic and get a burger together?" she asked. The pair of them walked off hand in hand, making Sonic's jaw drop. "H-hey! What's this game? Ha ha! Very funny! COME BACK HERE!!" he shouted, chasing after them. 4BIT held her face in her hands. "This'll set Sonic and Amy back a bit once it wears off... I hope Cream doesn't show up..."
4BIT tried to keep 16BIT's attention as they continued, but his excitement at playing Cupid was difficult to contain. Soon they came to a park where Copter the fox was relexing on a bench while Gemini the fennec was busy practicing her magic. "2BIT and I have talked about this one for years. It's time we brought these two together. Now, start by shooting Gemini over there..." 4BIT instructed. 16BIT nodded. "She's pretty. Any guy would be lucky to end up with her!" he smiled, aiming and letting loose the magic dart, making Gemini stop suddenly as the spell started to take hold. "Now, I want you to..." 4BIT began, only for 16BIT's excitement to get the better of him. "I got it! She'd go great with this guy!" he chuckled, launching a dart past Copter and into someone else! "No! What have you done??" 4BIT gasped. Gemini turned, and ran to the one the spell had drawn her to. "Oh, my... I never realized how devastatingly handsome you are... Bucky!" she said as she sank into the arms of the rat, making Copter stumble out of his chair in shock. "Wh-what in the?? Have you completely lost it!?" he stammered. Bucky smirked as he lifted Gemini into his arms. "Bet you won't have this sort of magnetism when YOU hit seventy-five years old, eh, Experiment 2?" he chuckled. Copter held his stomach. "You're seventy-five?? G-gemini, tell me that snaps you outta this!" he groaned. Gemini was busy gazing into Bucky's surprisingly youthful yellow eyes. "Let's go somewhere quieter... Buckie-wuckie..." she cooed. 16BIT smiled at 4BIT, who was busy lightly hitting her head against a tree. "You picked him because he was a rodent like you, didn't you?" she grumbled. "What's the matter?" he asked obliviously.
4BIT decided to take the bow herself as they left GeneX Prime for another realm, one in the Pokemon multiverse. "We scarcely have any Ash Ketchums in our juresdiction, despite all the Pokemon worlds we work with. Right now Ash is taking a break home in Kanto, and it's the perfect time to set him up with one of his best girls..." 4BIT said. "I'm supposed to get some say, aren't I?" 16BIT asked. "2BIT and I worked this stuff out over the course of years. I don't really need you." 4BIT grumbled. They found Ash doing some "special training" with Pikachu outside his house. Unfortunately, there were no females in the immediate area. "Drat. Now what?" 4BIT muttered. 16BIT scratched his head. "You know, there are other types of love." he pointed out. "What are you getting at?" 4BIT asked. 16BIT took the bow and shot Ash. Then, he noticed Pikachu was looking a bit worn out. He fired the next shot at the electric mouse Pokemon, and Ash hesitated in his commands. "...You know what, buddy? You've been working too hard. Let's go get a biiig snack for you as a reward!" he offered. "Pikapi! Pika-chu!!" Pikachu leapt at his trainer and climbed to Ash's shoulder, licking his face happily. "Ha ha! I didn't mean me!!" he laughed. 4BIT watched this and smiled a little. "OK, you make a good point...you adorably optimistic lug." she said, taking the bow and shooting him with it, followed by a shot upward to hit herself. "Awww, that was sweet... I think... Where are you? You know I can't see you with the bow!" 16BIT stammered. 4BIT simply gave him a tight hug. "Right here. Happy Valentine's Day, brother..." she smiled.
