Note: 16BIT is retconned as of this episode. The tiger is now 32BIT. I actually intended that in the first place but fouled up.
2BIT is a sky blue fox from a special pocket dimension. This realm, known as Byte Space, has a strange, digitized look to it, but it is more of a cosmic place where the denizens monitor and manage the destinies of various other dimensions within the multiverse. They are largely offshoots of other "prime" universes that fall out of Byte Space's jurisdiction, but that doesn't make the job any less demanding. So, in order to manage, 2BIT split his own psyche into several other beings, able to help him carry out his duties in several places at once. They form up a team known as "BIT Squad."
2BIT is a very busy guy, so as he prepares to go on a great new journey, he seeks assistance in preparations. Walking through Byte Space with him, or flying actually, is a white-furred mouse with tiny golden wings, bright blue eyes and a wide, beaming smile. "Well, as everyone knows, I'm heading off to the Alola region in a few days. 32BIT will be holding the fort while I'm gone. Same story as pretty much every year... I'm going to regret promising Prof. Oak I'd complete the Pokedex that time..." 2BIT chuckled. His companion flitted around him excitedly, eyes bright and joyous. "You're off on an ADVENTURE!? That's so awesome! I wish I could go but I don't have a human form, teehee!" he giggled. 2BIT sighed. "Err, yeah... Anyway, I got a job for you, 16BIT. You know all the Pokemon I caught in all those other regions?" he asked. 16BIT nodded playfully. "Yup, yup! Well, I haven't met all of them... How many are there, anyway?" he asked in a wondrous tone. "You'll find out..." 2BIT muttered, opening a door to reveal shelves filled to the brim with Poke Balls of many colors. "I always wondered what this room was for..." 16BIT gasped, smiling. 2BIT nodded. "These are all my Pokemon... 721 species... I have no idea how many total. Actually, it's not 721 species, I'm missing a few, but don't tell Prof. Oak." he chuckled, "I need you to sort them out. Sort 'em by type... No, region! Hm, no... species? Just don't put them in alphabetical order by nickname. 32BIT did that last year. I still can't find all my Feebas..." he groaned. 16BIT gasped and nodded, doing an aerial flip and flying into the room excitedly. "I won't let you down, sir! It's an honor to work with your cute li'l Pokemon!" he giggled. 2BIT smiled with a chuckle. "Only you would enjoy a chore like this... Well, I got a boat to catch! I'll send for some of my Pokemon in a couple weeks!" 2BIT said, rushing out in a hurry. 16BIT examined a red & white Poke Ball and scratched his head. "Hey, how do you tell what's in them without opening 'em up, anyway?" he wondered aloud.
Fortunately, 2BIT left 16BIT with his Kalos region Pokedex, which had a scanner that could identify which Pokemon was in which Poke Ball. However, this job quickly proved to be just as enormous as it looked, and the flighty mouse began to wonder how he'd get it done before 2BIT returned. "Hmmm... Oh, I know! I'll get one of our cute little friends here to help! Now, let's see... which one of these balls should I open up?" he murmured, scanning with the Pokedex in search of the perfect helper. As he reached for a ball to examine, he clumsily knocked one over. "Whoopsy!" he gasped as the ball opened up, and an angry-looking Tyranitar emerged! "Waaaah!! S-stay calm mister!!" 16BIT stammered, scanning the Pokemon with the Pokedex to get information on it. "Err, I mean, miss! ...'Tyra'? Err, cute nickname!" he chuckled awkwardly, backing away from the intimidating Pokemon and knocking several more Poke Balls off the shelf! "Gwaa! No, no! Don't come out!" he stammered as several Crobats and a Golbat emerged and started flapping about! In their panicked confusion, some of them let out Supersonic attacks, which seemed to enrage Tyra! "Oh, boy... Um, wait right there, I'll get help for you, fellas!" 16BIT said quickly, scanning the Poke Balls hastily in search of a Pokemon that could help him defuse the situation. One of the Crobats knocked down a ball releasing a Raichu. "Oh, hey Bucky! Please, stay calm! I'm handling this!" 16BIT promised. However, Bucky the Raichu started hurling thunderbolts at the bat Pokemon, angry at having been disturbed! "Hey! Stop it! 2BIT will be furious if he finds out I let his Pokemon get hurt!" 16BIT stammered. Tyra fired a Hyper Beam at Bucky, the attack connecting with a thunderbolt and causing a very loud explosion, making 16BIT cover his ears. "Yeesh... OK, here goes! Help me out, Spike!" he said, tossing a Poke Ball on purpose this time. Out came a Lucario, who glanced around with alarm at the battling Pokemon in the room. "Get their attention with Bone Rush!" 16BIT suggested. Spike shrugged and created a bone out of energy, thwacking each of the other Pokemon with it before returning to 16BIT. Now, all eyes were on them, and they were angry. "...Ooops..." 16BIT whimpered, "Right, now they're mad at me..."
Just then, 32BIT burst into the room. "What is all the racket in here!? Bats! Batty! Batmon! Losoar! Why are you all flying around outside your balls!" the black tiger shouted. Spike shouted something in Poke-speak, and the other Pokemon turned to 32BIT. "All of you get back to your balls! 2BIT would be ashamed of you, fighting like this!" he said sternly. 16BIT and 32BIT soon returned the Pokemon to their balls, and the flying mouse shook his hand. "Thanks... I should've been more careful..." he chuckled, "Well, now I know 2BIT has a thing for bats!" he grinned. 32BIT shrugged. "They're convenience-captures from what I hear... Now let's get these sorted. I'll have 'em alphabetized in no time!" he said, walking over to a shelf to get the job done "properly." 16BIT chuckled. "Let's do it alphabetical by region, then. I think 2BIT would prefer that." he suggested. "2BIT don't know what's good for him..." 32BIT mumbled, turning while carrying a Poke Ball and knocking another aside with his tail. The ball- a Master Ball -burst open, and a massive green Pokemon took up the entire room! It roared in annoyance, and 16BIT let out an impressed whistle while 32BIT groaned underneath the beast. "Wow! A Rayquaza! Hey, can you go mega? Show me, show me!!" 16BIT said playfully. "NO, DON'T SHOW US!!" 32BIT wailed.
2BIT would never have someone else sort his own Pokemon again.
