Given the rather dark nature of some of the art in your gallery, I have to admit I wasn't expecting him to actually spare the little frog girl. But I can't say I'm sad he did, either. She's much too cute to cut up, and besides, saving her life is good for getting favors in return. And I would imagine that a young boy would be much more interested in the favors he might get from a girl, even so small a girl as she is, than he would be in studying innards. So good for him, and this is just such a sweet little scene all around!

I'm pretty sure that the frogs in a "live" dissection are essentially brain dead from whatever drugs they give them to keep them lying on that tray. Sort of why we call it a live dissection and not a vivisection.
