Percy's Life Part 1 - The Mighty Caterpillar
Fox Slippers

With his long, soft tail tucked between his legs, Limon stared up at the huge and imposing figure in front of him. The tiny fennec couldn't believe it. Did this giant really mean what he just said?  Was he really planning to step onto his weak body?! Haegron was huge. And heavy! A monster in the eyes of the frightened fox.

The big charr waited impatiently, his arms crossed. His intense stare left no doubt that he was not joking at all!

Limon folded his ears back submissively. "Uhm... well... th-this is..." he stammered to find a plausible way out of this misery, but there was none. If Haegron would get his way with him, there wouldn't be anything left of him, Limon knew.

"You're lucky," the giant charr spoke with an evil grin on his face. "I'm in a good mood today. I'll have a little mercy with you." Then his hungry eyes wandered to the left beside the fennec. "You can sacrifice him!" he added and pointed at the green fox beside Limon.

Limon turned to look at his friend. "P-Percy?" he said and saw that his green furred friend was as intimidated and frightened as he was. Percy was a little bit bigger than Limon, but Haegron would be too much, even for him!

"Yes!" Haegron answered. "Put him in your place and save your own weak body."

Again Limon looked at the fox beside him. He knew the answer before it left his mouth. "I c-c-can't..." he stammered and carefully ducked his head before the looming creature in front of him. "I can't sacrifice my friend just like that!" Percy gave him a warm smile at those nice words.

"Well... I guess it's you then," Haegron said and took a step forward, reaching for the fennec fox.

"W-wait wait wait!" Limon yelled and held his paws up for protection. "I got an idea!"

Haegron stopped for a moment and starred at the pathetic thing in front of him. His patience was wearing thin. "Speak!" he commanded.

Limon felt a knot form in his throat as he tried to speak. He saw up and knew for certain that the huge charr would get his way. Whether it be peaceful or by force. "H-how about..." the little fennec began, "we share the burden?" Haegron raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "One of us for each of your paws? To share the weight?" Limon added and hoped imploringly that he would consider his offer.

Haegron's smile widened as he heard the idea. "That's a good proposal!" he said. "Now lay down!"

Both foxes did as they were told and laid down on the hard ground. The charr looked even bigger from down there! With a chuckle, Haegron picked up the leash from Percy's collar and placed the first of his massive paws on the small fox's body.

With big eyes Percy saw the huge foot come down. It was so big that it covered his entire abdomen! When the paw finally settled on his chest, Percy felt more and more weight crush down on him. "Hrg! Urghhh..." he whimpered as the air was pressed from his lungs.

Lying beside him, Limon observed the whole scene in dread. Haegron's paw practically flattened his friend against the ground! In his desperation, Percy reached up and grabbed the charr's leg to stop the paw from pressing down on him. It did only little, of course.

"And now you!" Haegron spoke and raised his other paw to trap Limon beneath it. As his weight shifted, Percy squeaked terribly under him!

Then the giant foot came down upon the fennec and pushed against his small chest. It was even worse than Limon had imagined! His ribs gave in and bowed under the enormous pressure. He tried to breath, but no matter how much he struggled, Haegron's weight crushed his lungs so that no air would come in.

With a smug grin on his face, Haegron squatted down and listened to the two foxes' pathetic groaning and whining. He took particular pleasure in watching their distorted faces! Percy was staring up at him with big, pleading eyes, wanting nothing more than to get him off. Limon seemed to be a bit more accustomed to having someone stand on him who was way heavier than he.

"P-please..." Percy wheezed with his last breath. "W-will you l-let us go now...?"

The charr gave the leash in his big hand a light tug to get the fox's full attention. "Sorry," he said with a satisfied smile on his face. "I can't remember hearing a single word about that in your little friend's deal, hahaha! As it is..." he went on, "I could actually get used to having such a soft and warm pair of fox slippers around for my tired paws! Hahaha!"

The End

-----

A really nice drawing that CrushSweet did featuring his character Haegron the charr and my two characters Limon the fennec and Percy the green red fox. CrushSweet proposed I should write a story to go along with this, and of course I couldn't let that opportunity pass! I hope you enjoy!
