Because he's young, his hormones towards sex is quite strong, so for him, just right now, sex is more or less, means - love. Don't worry, he'll learn in the future, that sex alone doesn't mean love as whole, while love doesn't have to stick only to sex.. ;3

So Kev's issues aren't really anything special. He's just not as far along in his mental and emotional maturation as the others. Replace "communists" with "Muslims", "Catholics", "liberals", "conservatives", or whatever religious, political, and/or social group (especially religious, it often seems) is or was in vogue and you've got the inexperienced and naive viewpoints of many a new college student. They're not stupid, but they've spent their young lives until then in their parents' shadow sometimes unable, but usually unwilling to free themselves lest they invite dire punishments of some sort. Kev's thinking will change.
On the other hand, Chucky's just mistaken being alone for being lonely. Granted, the two can go hand-in-hand if one is an extravert, but an introvert is often never lonelier than when they're in a crowd and typically least lonely when alone. His attitude towards sex and love are similar. He doesn't realize they're two different things. Granted, they can happen together, but they can also exist separately. Chucky really wants sex now (dang those hormones, anyway!), but mistakenly thinks love needs to be part of the deal. He and Nimsha could still have a meaningful relationship if he's willing to set aside his desire to get between her thighs. It could still happen, but at least he'd be happy should it not.
Lastly, Kev's "Jutht thayin'," blows his whole argument out of the water. I dismiss those who are "just saying", because they've just arrogantly told me their arguments are just words blah-blah-blahing into space.

You nailed it with Kev. He isn't a bad guy, just immature and unworldly. It may take him some time and life experience to grow out of it though. And remember, if he's getting this from his dad, then either his dad hasn't grown out of it or has closed himself off as so many adults do.
Chucky knows sex and love can be separate, but he definitely equates them as going hand in hand as well. Also, getting laid isn't just the hormones for him, it's also that idea that someone else desires him. He wants to be wanted. Terry gave him a taste of it and it was a wonderful thing.
