She really need to learn to trust her gut and not just element of harmony. Also stop trying to Solo the big raid boss in MMORPG by herself so offend. Just lead to a bad time.

Lil' AJ, you need to quit whinning about things and try making friends like your mom did. At times there will be those who are bad and those that might be redeemed. But you don't need to.be attacking everypony you don't like at first. That leads to bigger troubles.

I hate to say it but that logic is kinda flawed what if the trinket was corrupted somehow and it told her to kill Her mom or another of the elements whith no valid reason to would she just do it cause it told her to do it?

besides no one should trust blindly on magic artifacts since they too can be wrong (more so with the chaotic nature of the world :3)

Edit: And going by past examples the elements only detect and counter the "dark" magic an entity possses not exactly if it is Good or Evil or atleast that is what I have seen so far

Element told her to "purify" corrupted creature. Not to "kill" them. These two word are difference. She try to save. Not to kill.

Well true I don't they would do so on purpose though LA at times just seems to be the hard headed hero also .

okay stupid question but what does loyalty have to do with good or evil you can be loyal to the dark side and light side but that still does not mean you're good or evil like she said, but her elements shouldn't tell her that it's a threat

Well correct me if I am wrong but I don't think it has to do with loyalty or the expression of it but with the fact that the element seeks out the Dark Magic within Nightmare Rarity to clean said pony when engaged cause before the battle the element did not start beeping frantically telling LA to go fight Nightmare Rarity

Now LA represents Loyalty cause she stands her ground and backs her friend and beliefs whole-heartedly shown by her resolution in not letting up the chase on Nightmare Rarity

And that she kinda has RD's personality where if she is pressented with a challenge LA will not hesitate to tackle it head-on putting only herself harms way to avoid that thoes who they care about to get hurt

Oh and stuborness A LOT of that aswell

Yeah, the whole issue here is that Jack Junior's Handy-Dandy Villain Dector(R) only picks up on a subject's *possession* of dark magic, without giving you any indicators of what said subject might plan to DO with it. It's the sort of scanner that would practically implode upon contact with King Sombra, but let pre-season 5 Starlight Glimmer go on her merry mindscrambling, cult-building way. Not remotely the sort of widget you want to use for assessing sapient beings with full agency (unlike, say, her little pal Selene prior to getting safety-nerfed).
