No. Read the past two pages because you clearly skimmed them and missed the fact that Applejack thinks exactly that. Also, Little AJ took one look at Rarity and attacked her. Rarity didn't do anything but say hi to Little AJ. Even when Rarity begged Little AJ to stop, Little AJ still attacked.

Seriously... I give up. Vavacung, I love your art but damn man your readers are naive.
If you read more you'd realise that this is something that happens more often than not. Some new big challenge just when the hero thought they where finished, and not only that, but specifically a friend overreacting to a miss communication. Suspence gets built up but then in the end 99% of the time its the hero who has the misunderstanding. More than likely aj is razzing her, but even if that werent the case AJ has already spoken to her and judged her for herself. And my point stands. She wouldn't have cut the kid down, she'd have cut rarity's head off while the lady was deer-in-the-headlights. Clearly something else is going on here.
As for the kid. HELLO! OF COURSE SHE ATTACKED HER. she can SEE monsters. She /knows/ rarity is filled with dark power. What she is doing is the /logical/ choice. She is trying to HELP them become purified. Rarity IS filled with dark energy, and IS pretty much a monster. Even if she's a nice one, she's basically a corpse held together with evil energy. If it wasn't for the fact that rarity is the hero of this story, you'd be rooting for the pipsqueak to trash the BigBad. There's an entire separate comic that could be written about the hybrid reject who wants to prove herself, struggles every day to be a pittance of what her mother is, and suddenly gets her big break when the dreadlich comes to town and starts tricking all of her friends that its just a regular pony. THAT is little aj's shoes. She sees a an evil monster with an undeniable S-rank Boss Monster tag floating above it's head, and she's the one who's duty it is to... Not kill it, cure it. That's what she's been trying to do this entire time. Its rarity's misfortune that that would happen to kill her.

A spanking or a whuppin is just fine for a child. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been hit by a switch or a belt in their life and thinks its child abuse. lol. Well in this instance, to me..she still deserves a small whap to get her to be quiet enough for AJ to tell her to knock it off. Not an outright spanking or beating, but a smack that says. "You dolt, calm down." A quick tap of the sword hilt or flat of the blade to make her turn around in surprise. If she continues..then it's time for the spanking. lol. For disobeying.
