This is a fairly important note to people who get art from me or have it colored or whatever.

This is basically how I avoid using strait up "neon" colors. It's good enough to work with shading and highlights well and also not as eye blinding~

They look "natural" but still bright in color. ^^

(Added black/dark grey background just to brighten them a bit)

((Mostly posted so I have something for commission examples and stuff and so I could help someone if they get any help from this))

I actually really like this. As long as you're muting colors across the board it results in a composition correct to the reference without being jarring in the context of your style. Must make the presentation of light and shadow much easier to tweak for when you go in to shade too.

Right, right, muting is better imo. You can't really tell unless you like...specifically hold up a reference. It helps in mostly highlights because otherwise the color doesn't have much else to go when it IS neon. haha

And I do like the more...dull side of colors for most things, easier on the eyes~

I remembered I asked if anyone would think it "useful" on a stream that was fairly full and no one replied so I was like...well, I don't wanna look like a jack-ass...but i uploaded it anyway, now. :P
