"What are those two felids fighting about, anyway?"
"You know, some silly thing only two year olds care about. The pronunciation of the graphics interchange format, I think."
"That IS silly! Everyone knows it's like the peanut butter. The creator of the format said so!"
"But that sounds stupid! There's a 'G' in there... it's obviously supposed to sound like 'gift,' like a present you unwrap."
"You have no idea what you're talking about."
"You know who else doesn't know what they're talking about? Yo mama!"

And so the eternal battle raged on.

This was based on a conversation I had with some friends. For the record, I say "gift" without the T, and I don't give a crap what the creator of the format says. It used to be "Compuserve GIF," and nobody says that anymore either.

I drew the shading on a separate layer just in case I felt like coloring it later, but you know what? I kind of like the way it turned out, and might keep it this way.

Some notes:

* Yes, they're felids. Not felines. Felids are both cats and their distant relatives; animals like bearcats and hyenas.
* That's Deng on the left, with a new hairdo. I looked up Thai fashion online and found a hairstyle that really stood out. And up. It'll probably be a permanent part of his design. The sash I can take or leave.
* That's Keri on the right. Not TOO much has changed about her, aside from the knife blade ears. I wanted to dress her in something hideous, but her design is so busy already that it might be overkill.
* Two year olds generally keep their arguments limited to "mine!" and "no bath!," but hey, these ones are smarter than the average. You should know by now that's how I roll.
* Brown hyenas are kind of freaky. Seriously, look 'em up sometime. They look like a dirty mop with zebra limbs coming out of 'em.
