i know that i'm just wondering inf Rarity paralyzing Lil AJ removed the bar. at first i thought that the smoking cinnamon sticks Rarity spit out was the bar falling powerless but now ...

Her Mary Sue levels have equalized, Lil AJ is a decently written protagonist, so far. However I foresee her Goku levels rising in the future.

anime termenology: goku level
the tendency of a hero to spontaniously become more powerfull in a clutch situation and save the day at the last second.
the higher the level, the more often it happens with that charicter.

But the ... actually suggest she's talking about the paralysis effect ;)

Bad bad Rarity, going to kick heroes while they are on the ground? That wouldn't be a valid battle move. Which can only mean one thing:

Scripted battle loss!!! The hero wasn't ever supposed to win this one, loosing is inevitable and leads to a cinematic sequence of defeat and humiliation >:>>>

Eh, pretty sure Skunkstripe Squiggletail was referring to the flashback. Plus, MMOs let PCs & opponents smack status-disabled targets all the time. Not that I expect Mini-Jack to suffer any further humiliation (aside from a thorough hogtying).

Might be true for the watered down modern MMOs. In Ultima Online, any disabled character (sleeping, unconscious, dead, or otherwise immobile and on the ground) could AFAIR be further attacked. I think both regular attacks were possible (waking them up if they were just sleeping) as well as for example using the 'butchery' skill which turned the character into a pile of food items (uncooked meat) as well as furs. If I remember right those could then be further processed using other skills such as cooking, turned into clothes, or sold in the shop.

Now it wasn't nice to do that to sleeping player characters, but the engine did allow it.
