#27: Sableye
"Sableye lead quiet lives deep inside caverns. They are feared, however, because these Pokémon are thought to steal the spirits of people when their eyes burn with a sinister glow in the darkness. It dig the ground with sharpened claws to find rocks that it eats. Substances in the eaten rocks crystallize and rise up to the Pokémon's body surface."

Sableye is one of those awesome Pokemon... one of those really awesome Pokemon that GameFreak raped! Honestly, Sableye would be one of my top favorites (and in a lot of ways it is) but the fact that it's so useless just makes it such a let down. Initially it had the utter lack of weakness going for him, covering up it's piss-poor skills... then Fairy entered the scene, totally wreaking it's meager existence so to make up for that they give it a Mega Evolution which honestly, it needed! It's just another one of those terribly forgettable single-evo Pokemon that needed something else added to it, and I was stoked! Again I do love Sableye, but acknowledge it's problems. I wanted something that would finally put it on the map and what do they do..? Give it a giant fucking rupee! That's it... thanks a lot.

In truth, the big gem isn't awful, if it were incorporated as a type of attack or defense move I'd like it but for the initial body of the Pokemon to have virtually no change to it at all... is really, REALLY sad. I mean it does look cool already and having it's roots based on the Hopkinsville Goblin crytpid is pretty damn awesome if you look into it but... C'MON! I guess this is why I put him pretty low here despite being a favorite of mine, but to be honest I wouldn't look much into the ratings here at all. I stopped caring years ago, the only ones I really think about now are the Top 10 XD
