For the longest time, I've been unhappy with how I've drawn Lily; my adorable squirrel protagonist from Love Me Till My Heart Stops (Part 1, Part 2). I just couldn't get her to look the way I pictured her.
This still isn't perfect, but it's closer to the shortness and pudginess I pictured for her. She's just a cuddly little shortcake! ^__^
As a bonus, I've also included the sketch I did for this pic. In some ways I like it better, in some ways I like the colored version better.
BTW: Yes, I am aware she looks a little South-Parkish...
Also, after Thanophile gets back, I can shrink to turn from babysitter to playmate in a jiffy! I'm now picturing Lily and I smooching and yiffing while dangling from the ceiling, with Thanophile watching and pawing off. (With Lily and I's wrists tied behind each other's backs so we'll keep hugging even after we expire again. >:3 )

And yeah, I think that'd be totally in-character for both of them. Lily would love to have a friend who helps her feel not alone in her desires, and Thanophile's already shown himself to be just a little gay. ;)
<drools a bit> Hawwwwt... And yeah, I think that'd be totally in-character for both of them. Lily w
I just read that story... There are two things that amaze me about your stories. One, they are incredibly vivid. I can see, in perfect detail, everything about the characters and the surroundings. You paint such beautiful pictures with your words. Two, you have an absolute SKILL for making a story enjoyable regardless of the subject matter. I really don't like death. It scares me, honestly. BUT... the way you wrote it... It was like you were somehow able to soften the harsh reality of death, while simultaneously spelling out said harsh reality. And this picture? It's exactly how I imagined her. Cute, fluffy, huggable, and slightly nerdy. <3

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I really do put a lot of effort into taking subject matter most people aren't comfortable with, and finding ways to take all the bad stuff away from it. I'm glad you like Lily too!
I hope you enjoy the little sequel I wrote too!

This is a pic of a girl with feelings of inadequacy. That's why she sank into suicidal feelings, of fantasies of death. Trust me, if anybody sent me an eMail asking me to kill him/her, I'd delete it, block it, maybe even report it. No matter how disgusted I've been about the world, I never entertained dreams about suicide.
And sick ! This is a pic of a girl with feelings of inadequacy. That's why she sank into suicidal f
She just loves his flowing cursive and those teasing punctuations. The sharp stings and trails of red. Feeling dizzy as she loses blood slowly. Imagining what the forensic team will think when they find her beautiful body resting with a smile and even a little happy puddle between her legs.

This is a pic of a girl with feelings of inadequacy. Such led to this morbid fantasizing about death. The story is morbid and ugly -until the fantastic twist !

Well she's certainly a little pudgier in this version, still just as cute though. Do you plan on doing an 'updated' pic of the other character, who I can't for the life of me remember the name of, to go with this one?
(One quick open file later...) Thanophile, that was the name! I just kept thinking 'Thanatos' and knew that that wasn't quite it...

Wow was my memory on the fritz when I typed up that first message. I'd somehow completely forgotten that you'd recently put up a drawing of him. Anyway, good to have an image to attach to both characters when reading, it always helps.
