He's Gary D. Bobcat, a cat with bad luck. Commission for tylobechillin.

This was done on traditional, but when it was done, he asked me for putting him a shirt. You know adding and correcting stuff in traditional is very hard, but it was added in other layer on the same drawing, it was a cut, as those paper dolls which girls cut to add new clothes. That was my crappy solution.

It's great that you found a way to get the shirt on, I can't even tell it wasn't drawn on in the first place!
Also, I love how you showed the pens without obscuring the art, a lot of pics of traditional work have the pens covering the art :P

Cheap and easy solution, and it was better than saying "no, I can't do that"

i think your idea worked GREAT! it really looks like he's wearing the shirt! (actually he kinda IS "wearing" it)

but wouldn't it have also been possible to scan the image and add a shirt with a layer?

But that'd be cheating, and I wanted to keep everything in traditional. Hehe

I find gouache very good for painting over things. It's like watercolor, but opaque.
I've used Woodcraft paint markers too.

Great job here. I can't tell at all what you did to get the shirt on. ^^

I've used gouche before, I think I should buy some to practice more with them.
