Another render of my 3D character "Bubbles", this time of him doing that funny cat thing that cats do... with their paws :p Or maybe he's doing Kung-fu ^^; ...Kung-fu kitty :3
My primary aim was to tighten up the rendering and adjust the lighting over my recent YouTube upload. I recently uploaded a textured version of the walk cycle on YouTube nearly a week ago and I just wasn't happy with it, the global illumination just sort of tinted the main subject, due to the blue light bouncing all over the scene. I think I've landed on a nice set of render parameters this time, hopefully this will result in a better more visually balanced final animation sequence.
I may upload more renders of Bubbles in the future. However, I've been working on him for a while now and well... it's getting kinda stale. I really want to start working on new characters in the near future. I have learned so much while working on him. I have improved my modeling, rigging, texturing, rendering, lighting and animation skills significantly since working on this project. I aim to further enhance these key skills to produce better characters and production assets. I have plans to elaborate on Magic Mouflon as a primary character and develop supporting characters, Bubbles could be one of them.
I started this project with the chief aim of building a CG portfolio to develop a professional career in 3D animation, it's the reason why I gave up owing my popularity to a fandom. Though I haven't made it that far as a paid professional, I feel I've grown in confidence and I have further plans to promote myself as a freelance animator and digital content creator in the not too distant future.
