well they didnt like the trailer, which everyone agrees is poorly made and isnt that funny....say as opposed to secret lfe of pets, which had a hilarious trailer. I wanted to buy the bunny toy from the mcdonalds happy meal before I even saw the movie.

calm down...this is not about the movie, it is about the stated intent of the director and producer to make this just such a thing. I just took it one step further to show the stupidity of formulaic hollywood ideas...we have to have token characters in movies to appeal to certain demographics...it is a critique of hollywood not necessary the movie as well as those same people's reaction if you don't like their formulaic vision in 2nd panel.... so get the joke XD

I want the new Ghost Busters movie to be good, but the trailer had me scared they didn't really get it. And I loved Extreme Ghost Busters, which no one seems to like. That had a pretty diverse cast too I think, where they somehow managed to make it so the character most popular with kids was the guy in the wheel chair. Does that ever happen? And that's the thing. The characters themselves have to matter, they have to be interesting characters with depth.
