Well, everyone. It's that time of year again. The day when you either feel on top of the world, or lower than low. It's a day of extremes, to me at least. With all the marketing, advertisements, and reminders of love all around, Valentine's day can be pretty upsetting for people who don't have a significant other. Feelings of despair, being alone, and just a general icky-ness are what contributed to this one. When I started, I was thinking of hearts, chocolates, velvet, and roses. As you can see, the end result is like a marred version of that. That's because of my feelings on the whole Valentine's Day nonsense came through here. Nonetheless, I'm still very pleased with it, and I think it's even more beautiful than it was to begin with. It sucks being alone, and this picture should convey that feeling. Tarnished hopes and dreams, ruined opportunities, etc. Anyway! Enough of the morose pity talk! Happy Valentine's Day to everyone, and I hope you enjoy the art!
