Well, it was only a matter of time before I did this. Frankly I'm surprised it took this long to even draw Mettaton regularly, let alone this.

This here depicts the harsh reality of what happens when Mettaton hears the term "fat and fabulous". Now naturally I never like the concept of a robot gaining weight, I've seen it done before (a lot actually) and it's just something I can't accept logically, even with my level of insanity it's just something I can't extent my disbelief to accept. So then why did I do this? Well it's not JUST because Mettaton is sexy, though it is a valid reason, in actuality I have a head canon that supports it.

Essentially once getting to the surface, it isn't long before Mettaton realizes that his body can't please everyone. Unable to explain why, he starts looking into it and is made all too aware of the world of fat admirers and other such fetishes. Refusing to accept that he can't be loved by everyone, Mettaton forces Alphys to construct a new body for him with silicone, gel padding to simulate fat for all those chubby chasing fans of his. This quickly leads to a modification addiction as he keeps demanding more and more upgrades to apply to any and all tastes as he cannot accept NOT being liked; subsequently leading to his intervention...

I've put more thought into this then I should... but it works (in my opinion) Really though there's little to no reason to give this subject any thought. Within the game's own continuity there is a skeleton who is overweight, by that point a fat robot really shouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.
