Character Sheet for Thomas Samson
Character Description
Tom is a rather hopeless individual. He lets people push him around and he's rather pathetic at everything he tries. Despite this he has a certain charm as he can be quite deep and understanding at times if a little awkward. He's nerdy but not smart or has any specific talent. He's lazy, he worries a lot, he's not someone who you'd want to help you in a fight and very very much a push over. Despite this he's a good dad to Atreyu and if you get to know him there's a lot more going on in his head than meets the eye. He's a dark horse in black sheep's clothing. Ultimately his goal is for his son to be successful in life and spend more time with his wife but there are many things that get in the way. Most of which are caused by his own inability to stand up for himself.

Personality
Tom is a typical wet blanket. He lets everyone walk all over him rather than be involved in conflict. For all the work he ends up doing he usually doesn't get things right and either doesn't finish what he starts or does a terrible job of it. He's rather feeble when it comes to hard work either trying hard to do things fruitlessly or worrying about not being able to do it in time. You'd think that would make him try harder but instead it makes him more clumsy. He can be really understanding and sensitive to other's feelings but his terrible ability to be uncool at all times making him a bit awkward to be around. Often his attitude is like a nerd but without the obscure talent. Definitely not someone you would rely on especially in combat as he's likely to fail or run away from trouble. His only redeeming factor is that he loves his family and friends and he's very chivalrous and will rush to aid people and stick up for him even if he is totally unprepared for the consequences.
Likes/Dislikes
likes collecting things especially rare things, just getting his down and working without distraction, spending time with his wife, being a token dad, being relied upon, dislikes being told what to do, not knowing what to do, worrying about things, not meeting deadlines and having no free time.
Background/History
Tom used to live in Meddia with his family but on coming of age left for Olrit to find work. Whilst there he met the girl of his dreams and fell in love. They got a house in Diegoltun and lived there for many years before a scandal involving their son forced them to move to Guthafen. Since then Tom has been working in the docks. Recently Tom's son Atreyu has moved back to Diegoltun to have a life there with his old sweetheart. This has given Tom a lot more time to spend with his wife since and he has lots of plans for their future.
Relatives/Family
Tom has a wife named Isabelle who he lives with in Guthafen and a son named Atreyu who recently moved to Diegoltun. Tom's extended family live around Meddia but not near Guthafen.
World/Setting
The Valhalor world is a mixture between real-world, fantasy and sci-fi settings with the second item being a more dominant factor. There are 8 islands in Valhalor, 5 of which are divided into multiple countries. Many years ago there was a war between the Dozers of Meka Island and the Yovans of South Island, which resulted in Valhalor being divided into 2 warring alliances. Monsterville is a country in South Island that is strongly fantasy themed, though Olrit county in particular is very much modern day. Monsterville is mostly forested and has a European look. It's home to a lot of unusual wildlife and often hazardous kinds. Diegoltun City is the main setting for the Monsterville game which this character is from. The city has a wide range of businesses from shops, craft works and restaurants to offices, entertainment and tourist attractions. There are also several smaller villages around Diegoltun and the city itself is sat next to a much larger city known as Olrit.
Body
he's covered in fluffy white fur with pink eyes, a pink mouth and pink inside his ears.
Clothing
he wears a turquoise and white striped polo shirt that's a bit too big for him which he stuffs into his pants. he also wears tight red denim jeans that would look more apt in the 70s which are also too big but he wears the waistband quite high.
Accessories
Tom has a small shoulder bag he carries to and from work. it's full of various basic useful things like his lunch, some stationary and a couple of small tools. That pretty much fills the bag so there's little to no room for anything else.
