This is very good. Slappy looks good with a giant cannon and bomb motifs on her clothes. The outfit is fine on her, too. I forgot sam wore that type of shoe(or had shoes). She is recognizable and so is what she's from.
Color looks good for almost everything. Not too fond of the texturing of the bush behind her, but it's not a big deal.

Thanks! I thought the cannon would be the most fitting weapon for her to wield (either that or the Serious Bomb, but I plan on making another pic of her with that in mind.) The motifs are Serious Sam's logo, by the way.
I just used a texture brush on the bush, since I didn't know how to make it look detailed any other way back then. Backgrounds are something I'm currently trying to improve on.

Backgrounds are certainly a pain. So much detail for something most people don't give a shit about. Also where to stop on the detail... just goes on and on.

That's one reason I don't go all out with backgrounds. I don't want to put so much effort into something that most people seem to ignore in a pic.

It's complicated to guess what will or won't get a rise out of people. Very little of what I post gets much attention, whether it is cub porn or not. It's best to just draw what you like and post it without worrying about the other people, which you seem to be doing.
