I know her belly isn't white, but when I tried to fix that later on, it didn't look right, so I kept it in.

that depends on what episode some she had a fur patch some she did not .

Yeah, the animators couldn't decide if they wanted her to have a white belly or not. It's what happens when you have around a dozen different animation departments working on one show.

I'm not sure which I prefer. I've gotten used to drawing her with a pink belly, since that seems to be the 'correct' color used among the fans.

I know that too. Just like her belly color, the animators couldn't decide if she should wear panties or not.
