We just got a new intern from an undisclosed robotics program. I'm looking forward to trying him out - we're going to see what he can do with his hands, first. A lot of these kids come in, and they're wizards with computerized design tools, but some of our best ideas come from throwing engineering at the wall to see what sticks, and I'm a firm believer in hardcopies and hand-tools for that sort of task. Having looked at his notes (yes, that's them there) I was pleased - now let's see if he can do a general arrangement drawing of it with a pencil!
