That means he always looks at the back of his loincloth and down the toilet when he uses the bathroom. How inconvenient.

Jim Woodring did something like this, BUT he has a twist in his brain and sometimes SEES these - things.

In one of his stories, a demon named Whim tortured Manhog by riding him like a horse, beating him. to make him run. They raced across a desert to a bivalvular city where there was a temple in the center. In that temple, lay asleep a monster with eyes all over its body, except where eyes SHOULD be. Manhog was forced to bite it on the tail.,waking it up. Manhog, bruised by his beatings, ran all the way back home, getting away from the enraged monster. Whim stayed to see him run off.

Once home, Manhog collapsed from exhaustion and Frank, in pity & mercy, tho they were  enemies, put a blanket over him to keep him warm while he slept off his suffering.

Brina looks like one of my mutants. "They who sit upstairs in darkness" would not consider a possum promising material for evolution, tho.

From your descript, it sounds like Brina lives in a post-apocalypse dystopia. I have never been able to bring myself to depicting any but a normal world c.2016. I once did a joke that was lifted from a WWII Disney comic, but it was an awkward thing . Same for humans becoming sterile and "funny animals" seguing in.

Not post apocalyptic, but post war.
