I'm curious to see how an act of kindness in finding a lost item gives the right to make it your business and in a case, blackmail. And Daniel and I are very similar, so protective and ready to bare teeth at any slight change in tone, phrasing, words or look towards our lover that we deem unacceptable.

something tells me (and this is just a hunch) taylor had sex with the cute lil golden retreiver but said he "lost it" to make it sound like not a big deal so him "finding it" is his way of saying "yea i boned your bitchboi mate get jelly" without full out saying it

Sorry it was like 3 A.M when I wrote that and I was probably semi awake haha, you're talking about that Joel and Taylor had sex with each other cause Joel lost his necklace? Interesting theory, but I'm hoping Joel is a bit more loyal than to sleep with another man. Joel and Daniels relationship seems closed.

maybe so but instead of politely backing off when daniel got touchy about the subject he dug deeper like he knew what buttons to hit maybe taylor and joel had sex and taylor threatened joel in a way to shut him up about it pardon me if im stepping on any toes but joel doesnt strike me as the "i have a spine piss me off and i'll beat your ass stupid with it" type seeing how easy he is to sulk down once things got hairy so maybe taylor is using the lost necklace bit as to rub salt in the wound

I personaly have two theories. 1: Joel got bullied by some douches witch took the necklace away from him and taylor kicked some butts and gave it back to joel but joel doesnt want Daniel to know because he doesnt want to bother him with it regarding Daniels pretty protectiv and kind of passiv-agressiv nature.
2: Joel got doubts about him and Daniel and threw his necklace away and Taylor found it and gave it back to him (and probaly talked with him about his doubts). And well Joel dont wanted Daniel to know because of obvious reasons.
I think Joel cheating on Daniel wouldnt fit his character and would be a twist thats way to forced and unfitting.

both very possible but that still begs the question if taylor was the shining knight in this scene then why is he going through the trouble to fire daniel up? either he's hoping to be the rebound man and make the relationship crumble or he's being a dick for the giggles and wants to see the fires fly in all directions

Well after looking through the comic again... page 7, last row, second panel. Taking that into account there are three possibilitys for Taylors behaviour in my oppinion. 1: There are some certain feelings between him and Joel (witch begs the question why Joel wouldnt stick with Taylors version of the story.) or 2: Taylor is a little bit fed up on Daniels jealous behaviour or 3: Taylor has feelings for Joel and is jealous on Daniel.
Also it should be taken into acount that Daniel is new in this group. Page 11 he says "your friends" not our friends witch supports my "Taylor is jealous" theory but also the "feelings between Taylor and Joel" theory a bit because we know that both know each other from High school and that Taylor is sometimes "hard to deal with" (Page 6) but we dont certainly know how close they were before Daniel came along so its possible that Taylor feels replaced or something like that after Joel came together with Daniel.Perhaps there were some kind of romantic realationship between them or they were just best friends. For the answer we will have to wait a few pages.
