Originally made as a way of giving Timothy character they are a resentfully functional family. It's clear that Lisbeth (the mother of the family) rules the roost here even if little Timmy (the kid on the right) does most of the work around the house. Champ (the pet) admires Lizzy and being little Timmy's trusty companion often keeps him on the straight and narrow when not getting overexcited by Timmy's games. To be fair Timmy is probably the smartest of the bunch but due to his fear of conflict does what he's asked rather than risk a harsh punishment enforced by Vladimir (the father) by Lizzy's order. All have a lot of mixed feelings about the other members of the family but as a unit they at least work even if the parents are often abusive towards Timmy. It is difficult to say exactly who has the parent role in this family as Lizzy and Vlad have ceased power but may not really be worthy of such a position. Later in the game Timmy gets taken into care and adopted by Atreyu Samson and Dolores Manning (the Samming family) leaving the parents alone together. Depending on how you play it you might also get Champ as a pet. The parents have little time and even less patience for Timmy and his often mischievous ways and the babysitting side mission for Tray lets them give off steam without consequences but also ultimately inspires the outcome following their actions. The parents may be aware of larger events going on in the underworld around them but as for a direct involvement they are both really cowards and despite having the resources have opted for an approach of denial. If they don't let people know that they are aware of events they wont have to do anything about it. An ethic that is very symbolic of the family as a whole.
